Luffy swings his leg to strike Buggy, shouting, 'SCYTHE!!' However, Buggy anticipates the move and shouts, 'BARA BARA EMERGENCY ESCAPE!!' He splits his torso and legs apart with a 'POP!!' sound effect, allowing Luffy's leg to swing harmlessly through the empty space between his separated body parts.

Buggy's separated lower body crashes heavily into a building behind Luffy, completely demolishing it with a loud 'GASHAA' sound effect. Buggy laughs mockingly, 'KUHAHAHAHAHA. YOU'RE NOT MUCH OF A THREAT, GOMU GOMU...' Luffy stands amidst the flying debris, looking back in surprise and shouting, 'HEY!

Luffy watches Buggy's body parts float back together, muttering, 'DAMN! SEPARATING INTO SECTIONS...' Nami watches the battle from behind some rubble, completely stunned, thinking, 'H...HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR SUCH A FIGHT...!! I FEEL AS THOUGH I'M DREAMING...' Nearby, two Buggy Pirates are lying on the ground. One of them, wearing a striped cap, whispers, 'HEY... DID YOU JUST SEE THAT...?' His comrade, wearing a helmet and goggles, replies, 'IDIOT, PRETEND YOU'VE FAINTED. WE'VE NO CHANCE OF LIVING IF...IF WE GET CAUGHT INTO A FIGHT LIKE THAT.
