Rules
Rules of Reasoning
Theorydeck is built for structured theory work, not loose speculation. A good theory should be clear, sourced, challengeable, and open to revision.
Start with evidence
Claims should be supported by manga scenes, quotes, chapters, official material, or clearly marked analysis. If a point cannot be sourced, treat it as interpretation, not fact.
Use Evidence Chips responsibly
A chip can support one theory and challenge another. Add both FOR and AGAINST evidence when it matters. Strong theories survive pressure.
Vote on evidence strength
Ask whether the chip actually moves the argument forward. A theory you like can have weak evidence. A theory you dislike can still use a strong source.
Keep discussions contextual
Comment on the theory, the evidence, or the method block in front of you. Challenge claims directly, cite sources when possible, and avoid turning threads into general arguments.
Respect spoilers and status changes
Confirmed, debunked, dormant, superseded, and active theories should be treated according to their current evidence state.
Moderate with cited reasons
Moderation decisions should be evidence-based. Theory status changes, source corrections, and content flags should be explained with clear reasoning.
