One Piece Chapter 6, page 18-20: Chapter 6: Number One

Luffy grabs Morgan by his collar, preparing to finish him off, and yells, "YOU AND YOUR NAVY... ARE RUINING KOBY'S DREAM!" Suddenly, a voice interrupts the battle, screaming, "STOP!! I SAID STOP, YOU IDIOT!!" Luffy and Zoro pause and look over in surprise to see what is happening.

Helmeppo has taken Koby hostage, holding a pistol directly to his head. He laughs maniacally, "HEH HEH HEH! ONE FALSE MOVE AND FOUR EYES GETS IT!!! IF YOU EVEN BLINK, I'LL SHOOT!" The Marines gasp in shock, whispering, "HELMEPPO...!!" Despite having a gun pointed at his head, Koby bravely yells to Luffy, "HEY, LUFFY!! DON'T LET THEM WIN BECAUSE OF ME! LET HIM KILL ME!!" Hearing this, Luffy smiles warmly and says, "YOU'RE A GOOD GUY, KOBY!

Koby suddenly spots danger and screams, "LUFFY!! BEHIND YOU!" Helmeppo panics, shouting, "HEY! I TOLD YOU NOT TO MOVE OR I'D SHOOT! FINE! I'LL JUST SHOOT HIM THEN!" Luffy ignores Helmeppo's threat and winds up his arm, preparing his signature attack: "GUM-GUM..." Behind Luffy, Captain Morgan slowly rises, raising his giant axe-hand to strike, roaring, "YOU'VE ASSAULTED AN OFFICER OF THE NAVY!!!" Seeing this, Zoro calmly prepares to draw his sword with a quiet "KLMP" sound effect. Luffy launches his punch at Helmeppo, shouting, "...PISTOL!" while Helmeppo desperately screams, "DADDY!! KILL HIM!!
