At the villagers' shelter, the townsfolk are growing increasingly anxious. A man with glasses says, "IT'S BEEN SO LONG AND THE CHIEF STILL HASN'T RETURNED! IT'S TOO STRANGE!! An older bald man with white hair on the sides, Poro, mutters, "THAT MAN... MAKING THE TOWNSPEOPLE WORRY..." Other villagers chime in, "YEAH... AND WE'VE ALSO HEARD A COUPLE OF CANNON NOISES... SOMETHING'S DEFINITELY HAPPENED IN THE VILLAGE..." Poro steps forward resolutely, announcing, "... ALRIGHT. I'M GOING TO GO CHECK OUT THE VILLAGE AND RETURN SHORTLY. YOU ALL WAIT HERE!"

The villagers protest Poro's decision, saying, "YOU MUSTN'T GO ALONE!" A young man with light slicked-back hair steps forward, volunteering, "I'LL GO TOO. Poro turns to him and warns, "FOOL! THE ONES AT THE VILLAGE ARE PIRATES! BUGGY'S CREW IS KNOWN FOR BEING LOW AND DIRTY!!" The young man replies firmly, "THAT'S WHY WE REALLY HAVE TO GO! IF WE CAN'T PROTECT OUR OWN CHIEF, HOW COULD ANYONE CALL US VILLAGERS!" Other villagers join in, holding makeshift weapons: "SINCE IT'S A VOLUNTARY ACTION WE'RE ALL TAKING! IT'S USELESS TO TRY AND STOP US..." Poro smiles and relents, shouting, "DO WHAT-EVER YOU WANT!! LET'S GO!" The villagers cheer in unison, "YEAH! YEAH!"
