One Piece Chapter 19, page 7-8: Devil's Fruit

In the flashback, a young Shanks and a young Buggy are locked in a heated argument. Shanks yells, "NO, IT'S THE SOUTH POLE!!" while Buggy screams back, "IT'S THE NORTH POLE!!" Shanks retorts, "YOU'RE STILL INSISTING ON THAT, MORON!" and Buggy replies, "OF COURSE! I'M TELLING YOU I'M RIGHT!! Suddenly, Silvers Rayleigh strikes both of them on the head with a loud "DONK! DONK!" and "BOKA! BOKA! BOKA!" Shanks and Buggy cry out, "OUCH!" and "EEK!" as Rayleigh scolds them, "YOU TWO ALWAYS GONNA FIGHT OR WHAT?! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!" Rayleigh continues, "I CAN'T SEE WHY WHETHER THE NORTH POLE OR THE SOUTH POLE IS COLDER HAS TO DO WITH YOU!! IF YOU WANT TO KNOW SO BADLY, GO TO BOTH PLACES AND CHECK FOR YOURSELF!! IDIOTS..." while the rest of the crew laughs in the background.

The Roger Pirates prepare to raid an enemy ship. Crew members shout, "A VESSEL IS COMING FROM THE NORTH WEST!!" and "OKAY!! ATTACK!! LET'S START THE ACTION!!! Shanks smiles at Buggy, noting, "LOOKS LIKE YOU'RE EXCITED, BUGGY." Buggy, holding two daggers, replies, "A VESSEL'S THE SAME AS A TREASURE BOX!! THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO A PIRATE IS HIS LOOT!!" Shanks muses, "WELL, THAT'S ONE THING... IT'S NOT JUST ONE THING... IT'S EVERYTHING!!" Buggy grumbles to himself, "DON'T TREAT TREASURE SERIOUSLY ENOUGH!! TOO NICE FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. YOU AND THIS SHIP'S PIRATES... YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT A PIRATE REALLY IS!!"
