One Piece Chapter 8, page 15-16: Nami

A cannon fires from the town, hitting the giant bird. The bird drops Luffy, who plummets rapidly from the sky, screaming, "EEEYAA!" The girl stops and looks up in utter shock, gasping, "WHAT!?" The pirates chasing her also stop, shouting, "HE FELL FROM THE SKY!!! I-IT'S A KID!" Luffy crashes hard into the street with a loud "KOOOM" sound, kicking up a cloud of dust. He sits up rubbing his head, complaining, "OUCH! WHO'S SHOOTING CANNONBALLS AT ME!?

Luffy stands up completely unharmed, dusting himself off: "PHEW! I'M ALIVE!" The chasing pirates are dumbfounded, yelling, "HE'S NOT HURT!!!" The girl quickly realizes she can use this situation to her advantage. She runs up to Luffy, puts on a joyful face, and shouts, "BOSS! YOU CAME TO RESCUE ME!" Luffy looks completely confused. She then runs away, calling back, "I'LL JUST LET YOU TAKE CARE OF THOSE GUYS!" The pirates fall for the trick, shouting, "FORGET THE GIRL! WE'VE GOT HER BOSS RIGHT HERE! HE'S A BIGGER PRIZE THAN SHE IS!" and surround Luffy.
