One Piece Chapter 1.1, page 15: Romance Dawn (Version 1)

In the water, Shanks suddenly appears and grabs young Luffy, holding him close. Luffy opens his eyes in tears, whispering, "SHANKS...". The giant sea monster looms over them, ready to strike. Shanks turns his head and glares intensely at the beast, commanding with absolute authority, "SCRAM.". The sea monster is instantly terrified, sweating and trembling before quickly swimming away into the depths. Luffy clings to Shanks, crying. Suddenly, he notices something and screams in horror, "SHANKS!!! YOUR ARM!!!!". The water around them is stained with blood.
