One Piece Chapter 10, page 13-18: Incident at the Tavern

With a powerful swing, Nami knocks out the pirate trying to light the cannon. Luffy and the surrounding Buggy Pirates look on in absolute shock.

Buggy is outraged by Nami's betrayal. Nami pants, declaring she refuses to become a low-down murderer like them. Luffy asks if she is saving him, which she quickly denies.

Nami angrily states that pirates took someone dear to her, and she will never become what she hates. Luffy realizes why she hates pirates, but panics as the dropped match accidentally ignites the cannon's fuse.

Buggy orders his men to kill Nami for making a fool of him. As the pirates charge, Nami desperately looks back at the burning fuse.

Luffy screams in terror as the fuse burns down. Nami uses her staff to fight off the charging pirates, dodging their sword strikes.

Nami desperately tries to extinguish the burning fuse with her bare hands. Luffy warns her of an attack from behind, and Nami is struck down by the pirates.
