    Back at the southern slope, Usopp and the Straw Hats have finished their preparations. Usopp announces, "OKAY! WE'RE DONE! WE'VE SPRAYED A MASSIVE AMOUNT OF OIL HERE! NOW THOSE BASTARDS WON'T BE ABLE TO GET UP THIS SLOPE." He emphasizes, "THIS IS THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY TO BATTLE THEM! NO MATTER WHAT, WE MUST GUARD THIS SLOPE WITH OUR LIVES." Nami warns him, "JUST DON'T FALL DOWN THERE YOURSELF! OR ELSE YOU'RE SCREWED!" Luffy cheerfully agrees, "YEPP!

    Usopp boasts, "DON'T WORRY! I HAVE A LOT OF CONFIDENCE IN MYSELF!" while Zoro watches silently. As the sun begins to rise over the horizon, Usopp notes, "THE SUN IS UP! THE PIRATES ARE GOING TO COME SOON..." Meanwhile, panels show Kuro adjusting his glasses and Jango leading his crew, both preparing for the impending clash.

    The Black Cat Pirates' ship, the Bezan Black, crashes onto the shore. Jango commands, "WE'VE REACHED THE SHORE! LET'S GO, EVERYBODY!! OUR PLAN IS TO DESTROY THE VILLAGE!" The crew raises their weapons, shouting, "OOOO-OOOO-OOOO-OH...!!" One pirate points out, "CAPTAIN! THERE ARE TWO STRANGE LOOKING SHIPS OVER THERE!" Jango dismisses it, saying, "DON'T MIND THEM, THEY WOULDN'T HAVE TREASURE ANYWAYS.
