One Piece Chapter 7, page 15-16: Chapter 7: Friends

Koby bows deeply before Ripper, shouting, "PLEASE LET ME JOIN THE NAVY, SIR!!! I'LL BE A CABIN BOY, OR ANYTHING, BUT JUST LET ME JOIN!!!" He thinks to himself, "I'M GONNA DO IT!! I'M GONNA DO IT!!!" One of the Marine officers whispers to Ripper, "LIEUTENANT! I DON'T THINK THAT'S A GOOD IDEA! I STILL DON'T TRUST HIM! PIRATES HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO PLANT SPIES IN THE NAVY. WE SHOULD DO A THOROUGH BACKGROUND CHECK ON HIM." Koby sweats nervously, waiting for their decision.

Koby suddenly yells at the top of his lungs with a massive "WHAM" sound effect, "I'M NO PIRATE!!! I'M GONNA BE A NAVY OFFICER!!!" Ripper and the other Marines stare at him in silence. Rika and Ririka watch from the background. Ripper walks past Koby with a "TP TP" sound, saying, "MANY OF MY FELLOW SAILORS HAVE BEEN KILLED BY PIRATES... DON'T TAKE BEING A SAILOR LIGHTLY." He then turns and says, "YOU'RE ACCEPTED..." Koby is overjoyed, crying, "YES SIR! THANK YOU VERY MUCH, SIR!!
