FEMME FATALE". The illustration shows Roronoa Zoro sitting comfortably on the back of a spotted cow that is resting on the grass. Zoro is holding one of his swords, examining its blade, while his other two swords are propped up nearby. In the background, Monkey D. Luffy is seen hanging upside down from a tree branch, waving his legs in the air. Nami stands on a high ledge, looking down at Monkey D. Luffy with a bright, confident smile. She proudly declares, "That's right! I steal treasure from pirates!" Luffy, standing in the street below, is immediately excited by this revelation and suggests, "Together we could make a fortune!" However, Nami quickly shuts him down, sitting on the edge and saying flatly, "I don't want to team up with you." Luffy is taken aback, calling out, "Hey, wait a minute!" as Nami leaps down from the ledge with a light "SPROING" and lands on the ground with a "TMP TMP". A caption box formally introduces her: "NAMI THE PIRATE ROBBER". Nami points curiously at Luffy's straw hat, asking, "Why'd you get so mad when that guy touched your hat? Is it valuable?" Luffy holds his hat protectively and replies, "This hat is my treasure." Nami's eyes light up with greed as she presses further, "Treasure, huh? Do you keep jewels hidden in it? Or a treasure map!?" Luffy walks away, annoyed, saying, "Aww, leave me alone. I've got things to do." The scene shifts to the roof of a nearby tavern, where loud crashing and banging noises ("KRASH BANG BOOM WHAK") echo from inside. Inside the tavern, a menacing, shadowed figure with glowing eyes and a large round nose demands angrily, "You still haven't caught that thief!?" Inside the tavern, a chubby, sweating crewman with spiky light hair and a bead necklace reports nervously to his captain, "W-We're still searching for her, Captain Buggy..." Captain Buggy, furious, looms over him and yells, "How could you let the map of the Grand Line get stolen!? This is inexcusable!! And just when we were about to head there......and raise some hell!!!" The terrified crewman stammers, "Well you see, Cap'n, sir... somehow, the key to the map room got left in the lock..." Buggy's eyes widen in rage as he asks, "What did you say!?" The crewman continues, "And only the robber knows--" but before he can finish, Buggy's detached hand flies through the air and grabs him tightly by the throat. The crewman gasps, "WHAT? RUBBER NOSE??" Buggy slams him violently into the floor with a loud "YIKES! KRASH!!", shattering the wooden floorboards. Buggy, his face twisted in absolute rage, glares down at the choked crewman and growls, "Does my nose look funny to you? You think it looks fake?" The terrified crewman, sweating profusely, gasps, "No, no... it's a mistake! I meant the thief!" Buggy mishears him completely and screams, "So now it's a steak?! It looks like beef?!!" The crewman tries to protest, "But..." but Buggy cuts him off, shouting, "For this you die!!!" The crewman begs, "Cap'n, wait!! I never said--" Buggy demands coldly, "Who am I?" The crewman is completely choked by Buggy's detached hand, gasping, "UMF!! I can't breathe! C-Captain... Buggy..." Buggy turns and walks away with heavy footsteps ("KLOMP KLOMP"), leaving his detached hand to continue choking the struggling crewman on the floor, who makes muffled noises ("FWUMP", "Bug... ug... ugh... ug..."). The surrounding pirates gasp in terror, whispering, "He's using the power!...of the Fruit of the Devil!!" Buggy sits back down on his grand throne, resting his chin on his hand with a smug, menacing expression. He is flanked by his chief of staff, Cabaji, on the right, and his first mate, Mohji, on the left. Buggy calmly orders, "Ready cannon..." A caption box formally introduces him: "PIRATE CAPTAIN BUGGY THE CLOWN". The choked crewman, coughing and crying, begs for his life: "I... never... sp-spare me!" Buggy, pointing a finger, coldly commands, "Blast him to pieces!" The massive Buggy Cannon is fired directly at the helpless crewman, engulfing him in a massive explosion ("KABOOM!") as he screams in agony ("ADDDDDDA!"). As the smoke clears, Buggy stands before his crew and orders, "And get me my map!! And take everything of value from this town!!" His loyal subordinates, including a crewman with wavy hair in a ponytail, salute enthusiastically, shouting, "Aye aye, Cap'n!" and "Captain Buggy, sir!" Later page summaries: Suddenly, a crewman wearing a striped beanie with a pom-pom runs into the room, shouting, "EH!? CAP'N BUGGY!!" Buggy snaps, "WHAT IS IT!?" The messenger reports, "It's the map-stealer... She just walked in the door..." Buggy is shocked, laughing, "GOOD! BRING HER HERE!!" but then pauses, rubbing his chin thoughtfully, "I mean... belay that! What's her game!? Why'd she come back!?" The messenger shrugs, "Beats me, but she's here." Buggy orders, "Very well! Bring her to me!" Meanwhile, the three beaten-up crewmen look out the window and gasp in terror, "C-Cap'n Buggy! It's him! She's with him! He's the guy who fell out of the sky!!" Nami enters the tavern, dragging the tightly bound Luffy behind her and tossing him onto the floor with a heavy thud ("SP", "UMP", "OOF!"). Nami stands confidently before Buggy and announces, "Captain Buggy! I've captured the thief! And here's your map!" Buggy, sitting on his throne, looks at her with suspicion, "Hmm... You're returning the map? What's all this about?" Luffy, lying bound on the floor, realizes what has happened and yells angrily, "HEY! YOU TRICKED ME!" Nami simply looks back at him and playfully sticks her tongue out. Nami explains her actions to Buggy, putting on a show: "I had a dispute with my employer! He's an idiot, so I thought I'd join up with you!" Buggy stares at her in silence for a moment ("Huh?...") before bursting into a loud, booming laugh: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!" Buggy, thoroughly amused, says, "Idiot, eh? You've got spunk! I think I will let you join my crew!" Meanwhile, Luffy is thrown into a wooden cage, which shuts with a loud "KLANG!!". He grumbles to Nami, "Just forget about joining my crew, now!" Nami turns away with a satisfied smile, thinking to herself, "Infiltration accomplished! Now to grab Buggy's treasure and the map of the Grand Line......and make a quick getaway!!" Out on the water, Roronoa Zoro is on a small boat being rowed by two of Buggy's terrified crewmen (the one with the checkered bandana and the one with wavy hair). The crewman says, "This is it, Master Zolo." Zoro looks at the town ahead and remarks, "It looks like a ghost town. Where is everyone?" The crewman replies, "Well you see, sir... we've taken over the town." The two crewmen sweat nervously, whispering to each other, "What'll we tell Captain Buggy? We're coming back empty-handed... We'll just have to tell him the truth. It's all that girl's fault!" Zoro, standing tall, slightly unsheathes his sword with a sharp sound ("DA-DOOM!") and commands, "C'mon. Take me to your captain. Maybe he knows where Luffy is."
