Buggy flails wildly in the water, drowning as he cries, "HE... HELP...!! GULP.. GULP...!!! SOMEONE SAVE ME...!!! On the ship, the crew members are baffled. One shouts, "HEY, MAN. WHATCHA DOING?! SWIMMING'S YOUR SPECIALTY!" Others ask, "WHAT THE? WHAT'S GOING ON, SHANKS?" and "EEEH? WHAT'S THAT GUY DOING?" Shanks immediately dives into the water, shouting, "I'LL SAVE YOU... LOOK, SHANKS!!" Back in the present, Buggy finishes his story, crying tears of rage as he yells at Luffy, "SO I... ATE A ONE HUNDRED MILLION BELI WORTH FRUIT... AND BECAME UNABLE TO SWIM!! AND I ALSO MISSED THE TREASURE LYING ON THE SEABED!! BECAUSE OF THAT IDIOT MY FUTURE LIFE PLANS WERE POSTPONED FOR TEN YEARS!!!" Luffy blinks and says, "OH... SO SHANKS SAVED YOUR LIFE." Buggy snaps back furiously, "I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT THAT PART!!!"

Buggy flies into the air, separating his body parts once again. He screams, "SO THAT'S WHY I PROMISED MYSELF!! IF I CAN'T GET ANYYTHING UNDER THE SEA THEN I'D SETTLE FOR EVERY TREASURE ABOVE IT!!! WITH THIS DEVIL'S FRUIT POWER!! BECAUSE OF THAT WHO EVER TOUCHES MY TREASURE... WHOEVER THAT IS I NEVER...! Luffy looks up in surprise. Suddenly, Nami is seen running away in the background, carrying a large sack of treasure. Luffy notices her and says, "AA..." Buggy spots her too, his face contorting in rage as he roars, "LEAVE THEM ALIVE!!!" Nami looks back in surprise, saying, "EH?"
