Higuma grinds his foot into Luffy's face: "Move your foot... You stinking mountain ape!!!" Suddenly, Mayor Woop Slap runs up and bows deeply to Higuma: "Please!! Let the boy go! I don't know what Luffy did... and I have no intention of fighting you people... But if it's money you want, you'll get it. Just don't hurt the boy!" Higuma looks down at him: "Nice try, old man... You know how the world works.

Higuma sighs: "But I'm afraid it's too late. He's done the unpardonable... He attacked me... and he called me names. No one can save this brat now." Luffy yells from under his foot: "You started this, bandit! You mountain macaque!" Higuma draws his sword: "I'm gonna kill you! That does it. I'm not gonna sell you." Makino and the mayor cry out in panic. Suddenly, a voice calls out: "Nobody came to greet us at the harbor. I was wondering what was going on..." Shanks has arrived.

Shanks stands calmly at the edge of the square, his crew behind him. He smiles: "Oh, it's you mountain bandits again!" Luffy cries out: "Shanks!!" Shanks teases: "Luffy! I thought your punch was as powerful as a pistol." Luffy yells: "Not now, Cap'n!!" Higuma sneers: "Hmph! You pirates are still here? Taking a break from your cleaning duties?" One of Higuma's bandits steps forward, drawing his sword: "I don't know what you want, but you'd better back off before you get hurt. Come any closer and we'll have to kill you... cowards.
