One Piece Chapter 24, page 0-2: Things That You Can't Lie About

The chapter title page features Nami sitting comfortably on the coils of a massive, bandaged snake in a forest clearing. In Syrup Village, three young boys run down a dirt path between houses. The boy with glasses, Tamanegi, shouts, "CAPTAIN BROUGHT THE PIRATES HERE!" The spiky-haired boy, Ninjin, asks, "HEY TAMANEGI! DID THE PIRATES REALLY GO INTO THIS SHOP?" The boy with the skullcap confirms, "YUP, I SAW THEM." They worry that real pirates are savages and might have eaten their captain, Usopp. They resolve to save him, declaring, "THIS IS GOING TO BE THE MOST DANGEROUS BATTLE SINCE WE STARTED THE 'USOPP PIRATE GROUP'!

The three boys slam open the door of the shop with a loud "SLAM!!" (SFX: ばんっ!!). They shout, "USOPP PIRATE GROUP... IS HERE!!" only to find Luffy, Zoro, and Nami sitting at a table. Luffy is drinking from a cup, and Nami looks back in confusion. The boys realize their captain isn't there and panic, thinking he has been eaten. They point their wooden swords at the group, demanding, "H... HEY PIRATES!! WHAT DID YOU DO TO OUR CAPTAIN USOPP?! GIVE US BACK OUR CAPTAIN!!
