One Piece Chapter 9, page 8-9: Chapter 9: Femme Fatale

Nami stands on a high ledge, looking down at Monkey D. Luffy with a bright, confident smile. She proudly declares, "That's right! I steal treasure from pirates!" Luffy, standing in the street below, is immediately excited by this revelation and suggests, "Together we could make a fortune!" However, Nami quickly shuts him down, sitting on the edge and saying flatly, "I don't want to team up with you." Luffy is taken aback, calling out, "Hey, wait a minute!" as Nami leaps down from the ledge with a light "SPROING" and lands on the ground with a "TMP TMP". A caption box formally introduces her: "NAMI THE PIRATE ROBBER".

Nami points curiously at Luffy's straw hat, asking, "Why'd you get so mad when that guy touched your hat? Is it valuable?" Luffy holds his hat protectively and replies, "This hat is my treasure." Nami's eyes light up with greed as she presses further, "Treasure, huh? Do you keep jewels hidden in it? Or a treasure map!?" Luffy walks away, annoyed, saying, "Aww, leave me alone. I've got things to do. The scene shifts to the roof of a nearby tavern, where loud crashing and banging noises ("KRASH BANG BOOM WHAK") echo from inside. Inside the tavern, a menacing, shadowed figure with glowing eyes and a large round nose demands angrily, "You still haven't caught that thief!?"
