One Piece Chapter 9, page 19: Chapter 9: Femme Fatale

Nami points a finger at Luffy, accusingly saying, "I get it... You're after some fantastic treasure and you keep the map in that hat of yours." Luffy protests, "I told you, there's no map in my hat!" Nami asks skeptically, "Then why is that raggedy old hat so precious to you, liar?" Luffy takes off his straw hat and looks at it with a warm, nostalgic smile, explaining, "I treasure this hat because a friend gave it to me a long time ago. That's when I swore I'd gather a crew and become a pirate." Nami looks at him with a mixture of sadness and annoyance, muttering, "Hmph! Pirates, phooey!" Luffy puts his hat back on and sighs, "These are crazy times."
