One Piece Chapter 26, page 7-9: CAPTAIN KURO'S PLAN

Usopp is overwhelmed with terror as the truth sinks in: "HORRIBLE... I'VE HEARD A HORRIBLE PLAN... SO, FOR THREE YEARS... THEY ALREADY LUSTED AFTER KAYA'S FAMILY WEALTH! AND THAT BUTLER... NO! CAPTAIN KURO IS STILL ALIVE... AND I PUNCHED HIM BEFORE... HE'LL KILL ME FOR SURE! KAYA WILL BE KILLED TOO! THE VILLAGE WILL BE UNDER ATTACK...." He is sweating and shaking. Suddenly, Luffy stands up. Usopp panics, whispering frantically, "DONT STAND UP! THEY'LL SEE YOU! NOT GOOD... NOT GOOD AT ALL!

Luffy stands up completely, yelling at the top of his lungs, "HEY! YOU TWO!! DONT YOU DARE TOUCH THE OJOUSAMA!!!!" Usopp screams in absolute terror, his mouth wide open. Down on the shore, Kuro and Jango turn around in shock, with Jango asking, "WHO IS IT?

Usopp grabs Luffy and tries to pull him down, screaming, "YOU IDIOT!! THEY'LL SEE YOU! HIDE! THEY'LL KILL YOU!" Kuro looks up and recognizes him: "OH.... IT'S USOPP-KUN..... DID YOU........HEAR ANYTHING?" Usopp immediately tries to lie, waving his hands frantically: "NO! NOTHING AT ALL! WE JUST GOT HERE... REALLY...." But Luffy slaps Usopp on the back and yells, "HEY!! WE HEARD EVERYTHING!" Usopp screams in despair, "YAAAAAAH!! HE SAW ME!
