One Piece Chapter 1.1, page 29-30: Romance Dawn (Version 1)

The village headman stands proudly over the tied-up Luffy, lecturing him: "I SUPPOSE THERE WAS SOME INNER DISPUTE AMONGST YOUR CREW. IT SEEMS HE UNDERESTIMATED US SINCE THIS IS A SMALL VILLAGE!!". Luffy sighs, "AREN'T YOU MAKING A MISTAKE?". The headman snaps, "DON'T RUN YOUR MOUTH OFF! UNDERSTAND THE POSITION YOU'RE IN!!". Shiruku runs up, shouting, "HEADMAN!! YOU'RE WRONG! HE'S NOT GYARI!!". The headman is confused, "THAT'S CORRECT!!". Suddenly, Gyari and his crew appear behind them, laughing mockingly: "GOOD JOB, IDIOTS!!". Shiruku gasps, "I WAS TOO LATE!". Luffy mutters, "PINCH.". Gyari points to his mustache, grinning: "I'M GYARI. MY MUSTACHE IS A CRESCENT MOON, RIGHT?". The headman turns pale, sweating: "EH".

Gyari's pirates quickly overpower the villagers. One pirate pins Shiruku to the ground, holding a sword to her back and asking, "STILL PLAN ON FIGHTING?". Shiruku groans in pain, "UH". The village headman cries out in despair, "STOP ALREADY, SHIRUKU!!". Shiruku, pinned to the ground, yells back, "BUT!!...IF WE HAND OVER OUR VALUABLES NOW, THIS VILLAGE WILL START TO BECOME EASY PREY FOR PIRATES AGAIN!!". Luffy, still tied up in ropes, watches the scene silently.
