    Luffy bluntly calls Gaimon's situation stupid, infuriating the chest-man. Gaimon laments that his hair, mustache, and eyebrows have grown wild over the last twenty years. Luffy tries to pull Gaimon out of the chest by his head, but Gaimon screams in pain, warning that his body and the chest have fused together over the years and pulling him out will kill him. Nami asks how he ended up on the island in the first place.

    Gaimon reveals that he was once a pirate himself. Luffy talks about his own dream of being a pirate and searching for treasure, even if it means risking his life. Nami asks Gaimon if he has any maps, and Luffy proudly shows off their map of the Grand Line, declaring that he is going to find the One Piece. Gaimon is stunned by Luffy's ambition.
