One Piece Chapter 22, page 21-24: YOU ARE A RARE AND PRECIOUS ANIMAL TOO

They arrive at the base of the massive rock hill. Gaimon looks up at it emotionally, noting how long it has been since he was last here. Luffy asks why he never asked anyone else for help before, and Gaimon admits he did not trust anyone. He sheds tears of joy, declaring this the happiest day of his life.

Nami tells Luffy to go up, and Gaimon eagerly counts on him. Luffy uses his rubber powers to stretch his arms all the way to the top of the cliff, grabbing the edge and launching himself up into the air, leaving Nami and Gaimon watching in awe.

Luffy reaches the top of the hill and confirms that there are indeed five treasure chests. Gaimon is overjoyed and begs Luffy to throw them down, warning him not to hit him. However, Luffy flatly refuses, saying, "No way!" Gaimon and Nami are shocked, and Nami furiously demands that he stop joking around and drop the chests.

Nami continues to yell at Luffy to drop the chests, but Luffy stubbornly refuses. Gaimon, looking up with tears in his eyes, tells Nami to let it go. He realizes that Luffy is a good person who is trying to spare his feelings. Gaimon admits that deep down, he always suspected the truth but tried hard not to think about it.
