With tears and blood streaming down his face, Zoro raises his sword high and screams his solemn vow: "THAT I'M NEVER GOING TO LOSE AGAIN! UNTIL THE DAY I FIGHT HIM AND WIN... TO NEVER LOSE AGAIN! I SWEAR!". Hearing this, Luffy grins widely and shouts back, "I SWEAR!". Mihawk looks on with a satisfied smile, acknowledging the young swordsman's unbreakable spirit.

Zoro finally loses consciousness and collapses onto the deck of the boat. Mihawk looks back at Luffy and asks, "ANY PROBLEMS?" regarding his dream of becoming the Pirate King. Luffy smiles brightly and chirps, "NOPE! HEE HEE!". Mihawk boards his small coffin-like boat and prepares to depart, saying, "I'D LIKE TO SEE YOU TWO AGAIN, SOMETIME IN THE FUTURE... YOU MAKE A GOOD TEAM.

Don Krieg steps forward to confront Mihawk, shouting, "HAWK-EYES! DID YOU COME ALL THE WAY OUT HERE FOR MY HEAD? THE HEAD OF THE INFAMOUS RULER OF EAST BLUE, 'DON KRIEG'!?". Mihawk glances back coldly and replies, "FOR A WHILE, YES. BUT I'VE ALREADY ENJOYED MYSELF HERE. AND SO I'LL RETURN BACK TO MY NAP." Krieg, annoyed, says, "NO NEED TO BE SO CURT. YOU MAY HAVE HAD YOUR FUN, BUT I SURE HAVEN'T!". Krieg's men panic, wondering why their leader is provoking the terrifying swordsman.
