One Piece Chapter 21, page 9-10: VILLAGE

The villagers stop in front of Chouchou, surprised. "AAH, THAT DOG! SHUSHU!" they cry out. They try to get past him, pleading, "HEY, SHUSHU! MOVE OUT OF THE WAY, QUICKLY!! THOSE GUYS ARE BAD PIRATES!!" Chouchou growls fiercely, "GRRRRR..!" and barks, "WOOF WOOF!!" refusing to budge. The villagers are confused, asking, "WHY ARE YOU STOPPING US? SHUSHU!!" Luffy looks back and smiles as they make their escape. The villagers shout in frustration, "SHUSHU!! MOVE OF THE WAY NOW!!" while Chouchou continues to bark, "WOOF WOOF!!!

Luffy and Nami arrive at the harbor. Nami pants, saying, "HUA... WAS GETTING PRETTY WORRIED. THANKS TO SHUSHU WE BARELY GOT AWAY. WHY DOES IT ALWAYS END UP THIS WAY?" Luffy replies, "WHO CARES WHAT THEY THINK... WE DID WHAT WE CAME TO DO! WELL, IT'S NOT QUITE LIKE THAT." They look at the small boat moored at the dock. Luffy says, "WAH! IT'S COOL. I ENVY YOU. IS THIS YOUR BOAT?" Nami answers, "I STOLE IT FROM A BUNCH OF STUPID PIRATES. I DON'T THINK SO." Suddenly, a voice calls out from behind them, "WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU, THIEF!!" Nami and Luffy turn around in surprise.
