One Piece Chapter 8, page 16-17: Nami

Luffy stands up completely unharmed, dusting himself off: "PHEW! I'M ALIVE!" The chasing pirates are dumbfounded, yelling, "HE'S NOT HURT!!!" The girl quickly realizes she can use this situation to her advantage. She runs up to Luffy, puts on a joyful face, and shouts, "BOSS! YOU CAME TO RESCUE ME!" Luffy looks completely confused. She then runs away, calling back, "I'LL JUST LET YOU TAKE CARE OF THOSE GUYS!" The pirates fall for the trick, shouting, "FORGET THE GIRL! WE'VE GOT HER BOSS RIGHT HERE! HE'S A BIGGER PRIZE THAN SHE IS!" and surround Luffy.

The three pirates surround Luffy, brandishing their swords. One of them sneers, "ISN'T THAT RIGHT... BOSS!? THAT MAP BELONGS TO THE FEARSOME PIRATE, BUGGY THE CLOWN!!!" Luffy tries to speak, saying, "HEY..." but one of the pirates suddenly slashes at Luffy's head with his sword. The blade strikes Luffy's straw hat with a sharp "CHWNK!!!" sound. Luffy's expression instantly turns dark and serious. He catches the sword and says in a low, threatening voice, "DON'T TOUCH... THE HAT!
