One Piece Chapter 42, page 3-6: Yosaku and Johnny

Usopp finishes painting the flag, earning praise from Nami and Luffy. Usopp boasts about his artistic talents honed from years of graffiti. Soon, the Going Merry is fully decorated with the new Jolly Roger on both the flag and the main sail, ready for action.

While the crew relaxes, Luffy decides to test the ship's cannon. Usopp criticizes Luffy's poor aim and steps in to show him how it's done, targeting a distant rock reef in the ocean.

The cannon fires, completely destroying the target rock reef in a massive explosion. Usopp is thrilled by his successful shot and boasts about his expert aiming skills. Luffy is impressed and officially appoints Usopp as the ship's sniper.

In the ship's galley, the crew discusses their next needs before entering the Grand Line. Nami suggests a cook, but Luffy insists that what a pirate ship really needs is a musician, prompting an angry, unified rejection from the rest of the crew. Suddenly, a sharp sword sound is heard from outside.
