One Piece Chapter 1.1, page 26-27: Romance Dawn (Version 1)

Shiruku covers her ears and screams in terror, "KYAAAAA!!". Gyari laughs triumphantly, "GYAHAHAHAHAHA!!", believing he has won. However, the bullet hits Luffy's chest, but instead of piercing him, his rubber skin stretches deep inward, absorbing the impact. Luffy grins and flexes his chest, shouting, "FUHN!!!". The bullet is launched backward, flying past Gyari and his shocked crew. Gyari's jaw drops in absolute disbelief, sweating profusely as he stares at Luffy.

Luffy catches his straw hat as it falls back onto his head, saying, "AHHH THAT SURPRISED ME. PISTOLS DON'T WORK EITHER...!!!". Shiruku stares at him in utter shock, unable to speak: "...!!?". Gyari and his crew are terrified, screaming in panic, "AAA AAA AAA AAH!!!" and "WE'LL REMEMBER THIS, DAMNIT!!!" as they turn and run away as fast as they can. Luffy grins and stretches his face sideways with his hands, demonstrating his power: "LIKE I WAS SAYING, MY WHOLE BODY IS RUBBER. IT'S THE TRADE OFF FOR NEVER BEING ABLE TO SWIM. COOL, RIGHT?".
