One Piece Chapter 1, page 17-18: Romance Dawn

Suddenly, the tavern door is violently kicked open with a loud "SLAM!". A group of rough-looking men enter, their leader shouting: "Make way for the scourge of the mountains!" The pirates look over calmly as the mountain bandits walk in. The leader sneers: "Heh heh... So you call yourselves pirates, eh? First time I've seen pirates... You look like a sorry lot to me." Luffy continues eating his food, completely unbothered, while Makino looks tense.

The bandit leader introduces himself: "We're mountain bandits. Oh, don't wet yourselves. We're not here to bust up the place. Just sell us 10 barrels of grog, and we'll injure only the bare minimum." A sign identifies him as 'Higuma the Bear, Leader of the Mountain Bandits'. Makino apologizes politely: "I'm sorry... We just ran out of liquor." Higuma frowns, looking at the pirates: "Hmmm... That's strange. What're all these pirates drinking?" Makino explains: "I just served the last of it.
