From the safety of the bushes, the three young members of the Usopp Pirates—Ninjin, Piiman, and Tamanegi—watch the Going Merry sail away. They talk among themselves: "THERE GOES THE CAPTAIN..." "BUT IF HE'S WITH THOSE PEOPLE..." "I FEEL SAFER." "YEAH, I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYONE SO STRONG." They accept his departure, noting, "WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT... HE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE A PIRATE." They worry about the village, saying, "THE VILLAGERS WILL BE SAD WHEN WE TELL THEM THE NEWS. IT'S SO SUDDEN... AND IT'S BECAUSE CAPTAIN... HE WAS PRETTY NOISY JUST HIMSELF." Suddenly, Tamanegi gets a bright idea and shouts, "I HAVE AN IDEA!" to which the others ask, "WHAT?

Back on the shore, Kaya stands looking out at the ocean as the ship fades into the distance. She whispers, "MERI..." Merry asks, "WHAT IS IT OJOU-SAMA?" Kaya sighs, "IT HURTS TO LIE DOESN'T IT..." Merry gently replies, "NO... YOU MEAN ABOUT CLAHADOR?" Kaya clarifies, "IS IT THAT... YOU ACTUALLY WANTED TO STOP USOPP-KUN...?" Merry smiles softly and says, "OJOUSAMA... I HEARD A STORY ABOUT HIM WHEN HE WAS YONGER, FROM THE VILLAGERS.
