    - Pages: 13-16 - Characters: Zeff, Sanji - Events: battle, memory, promise, sacrifice ### Summary The flashback strips away the noise of battle and focuses on hunger, sacrifice, and the dream of creating a restaurant where no one is denied food. This part gives emotional meaning to Sanji’s choices: Zeff’s sacrifice explains why feeding the hungry is sacred to him. ### Key dialogue Zeff: So you woke up, did you, you little eggplant... Zeff: You're a pretty lucky one, alright. Sanji: PPira... Sanji: Dwawawawawawawawawawaww! Zeff: Of course you can't move easily. Just whose kick did you think you received? Sanji: Where's the ship!? Zeff: who knows. Sanji: wouldn't be surprising if your ship sank during that rough storm. Sanji: But... I know my ship has sunk for sure at least. Sanji: I can tell by the wreckage. Sanji: I can only be grateful that I didn't see any of my crewmates' dead bodies. Sanji: In any case, the storm was 2 days ago.
