Luffy tells Nami and Boodle, 'I'M GOING TO LOOK FOR ZOLO. I'D BETTER FIND HIM BEFORE THAT WEIRD COSTUME GUY DOES.' Boodle warns him, 'DON'T TALK CRAZY! NEXT TIME, THAT LION WILL EAT YOU ALIVE!' Meanwhile, Richie is inside the shop, greedily devouring the pet food. Mohji rides away on Richie, complaining about his bleeding arm from Chouchou's bite and muttering, 'WELL, HE'LL NEVER SELL PET FOOD IN THIS TOWN AGAIN...' Suddenly, Luffy stops in his tracks as he hears Chouchou barking desperately in the distance.

The pet food shop is suddenly engulfed in a massive, roaring fire. Chouchou stands before the blazing ruins, barking in absolute despair as the building collapses. Luffy arrives at the scene and watches in silent shock, realizing the depth of the tragedy. He thinks to himself, 'THIS IS HIS MASTER'S STORE... IT'S HIS TREASURE.

Luffy continues to watch Chouchou bark helplessly at the burning shop, thinking, 'AND I THINK THAT CHOUCHOU STILL GUARDS THE STORE......BECAUSE IT'S ALL THAT'S LEFT OF HIS BELOVED MASTER.' With a dark, intensely serious expression, Luffy turns and walks away. He confronts Mohji and Richie in the middle of the street, standing tall as the giant lion approaches.
