One Piece Chapter 13, page 2-4: Chapter 13: TREASURE

In front of the Pet Food shop, Mohji sits atop his giant lion, Richie, looking down at Chouchou, who is barking fiercely to block their path. Mohji wonders, 'WHAT'S WITH THIS DOG? DOES HE THINK HE CAN STOP US FROM ENTERING THAT STORE?' He sneers, 'YOU LITTLE MUTT... DON'T TELL ME YOU'RE GUARDING THIS CRUMMY SHOP?' Richie growls menacingly as Chouchou continues to bark defiantly, refusing to back down.

With a swift swipe of his massive paw, Richie bats Chouchou aside, sending the small dog crashing to the ground with a painful yelp. Despite the blow, Chouchou struggles back to his feet, growling and barking. The scene transitions into a flashback of Chouchou's beloved master, Hocker, standing proudly in front of the newly completed pet food shop. Hocker joyfully tells the dog, 'LOOK, CHOUCHOU! THE STORE'S ALL FINISHED! YOU AND ME WILL MAKE IT PROSPER TOGETHER!

Richie bites down on Chouchou, but the brave little dog bites back, clamping his jaws onto the lion's nose. Angered, Richie slams Chouchou hard onto the wooden deck. The flashback continues, showing Hocker sitting outside the shop, sighing, 'BUSINESS IS AWFUL SLOW...' He decides to buy some of his own pet food to eat, prompting a passing townsperson to laugh, 'HA HA HA! YOU LOOK LIKE A DOG, BUT I DIDN'T KNOW YOU ATE LIKE ONE, TOO!!' Hocker jokingly retorts, 'YOU IDIOT! I'M TRYING TO HELP YOU!
