One Piece Chapter 31, page 2-4: THE TRUTH

Kaya sits up in her bed, gasping for breath and coughing heavily: "HUFF.............!! HUFF.............!! COUGH COUGH". She clutches her chest in confusion, whispering, "I DON'T UNDERSTAND... WHY WOULD USOPP-SAN SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT..." Seeking reassurance, she gets out of bed, walks down the hallway, and knocks on a door, calling out, "ARE YOU THERE, CLAHADOR? CLAHADOR?

Kaya opens the door and is instantly frozen in absolute horror. Sprawled on the floor in front of her is the butler, Merry, lying unconscious in a pool of blood. She gasps, "!!!!?" and screams in anguish, "ME... MERI!!

Kaya rushes to Merry's side, crying out in panic, "MERI! WAKE UP!! WHAT HAPPENED!!? YOU CAN'T DIE!" Merry weakly opens his eyes, coughing up blood: "COUGH UGH... COUGH". He weakly gasps, "OJOU-SAMA... GOOD... YOU'RE SAFE..." Kaya is bewildered, replying, "I'M SAFE...? WHAT... WHAT ARE YOU SAYING..." Suddenly, she looks up in shock as she realizes who did this, gasping, "CLAHADOR!!!
