Oda explains it is German for "seagull." - A fan asks how Zoro can talk with a sword in his mouth, suggesting ventriloquism. Oda replies, "IT'S HIS HEART SPEAKING." - A fan asks why Oda doesn't use much screentone. Oda explains that applying tone takes too long and is a pain, so his policy is to keep it black and white.
