One Piece Chapter 27, page 23-24: The Plot

Usopp stands up, clenching his fist, and yells with fierce determination, "Since everyone thinks I'm a liar, then this will just become one of my lies! In order to protect the village, I'll protect this village myself and prevent the pirates from attacking!" Luffy, Zoro, and Nami watch him, surprised by his resolve. Usopp sits back down, looking at his hands, and mutters quietly, "Although they... fired guns at me... and they chased after me with broomsticks... here... in the village where I grew up!

Usopp cries, confessing, "I love this village! I want to protect everyone..." Zoro smiles slightly and says, "You are a pretty good guy, you lied to your crew so that you can do this alone..." Nami steps forward, saying, "How can I just watch... everyone get killed..." Luffy grins widely, cracking his knuckles: "Okay! I'm definitely going to butt-in this one!" Nami winks and adds, "But first things first, all their treasure is mine!" Usopp looks up at them in complete disbelief, stammering, "What...?
