    - Pages: 1-4 - Characters: Sanji - Events: battle, memory, promise, sacrifice ### Summary The flashback strips away the noise of battle and focuses on hunger, sacrifice, and the dream of creating a restaurant where no one is denied food. This part gives emotional meaning to Sanji’s choices: Zeff’s sacrifice explains why feeding the hungry is sacred to him. ### Key dialogue Sanji: So let's just try and get along until help comes, alright? Sanji: that damn geezer... like I'd let him know if I see a ship. Sanji: He can go to hell for all I care. Sanji: I'm gonna survive alone. Sanji: I can see so far away across the ocean. Sanji: I'm sure I'll be able to spot at least 1 or 2 ships if I wait 4-5 days. Sanji: besides, I don't see any wreckage of the passenger ship I was on, Sanji: So it's possible that they might come and rescue me. Sanji: But thinking of the worst case scenario, it'd be best to split it evenly over 20 days. Sanji: I'll get to eat less per day, Sanji: But there's plenty of rainwater trapped in the crevices that I can drink. So I should be able to get by somehow. Sanji: If I can wait out 20 days, I'm sure a ship will pass by here.
