Luffy walks over to a porthole and looks out: 'IT'S THE SEA. What a great view.' Anne sits on the floor, hugging her knees in despair. Luffy asks, 'WAS THAT OSTRICH YOURS...?' Anne's expression softens as she reminisces about her bond with Balloon. 'I'VE BEEN WITH HIM SINCE I CAN REMEMBER. WE PLAYED TOGETHER AND SLEPT TOGETHER. WE WERE NEVER APART...!' Flashback panels show a young Anne playing ball with a baby Balloon and sleeping soundly beside him. She continues, 'TO OTHERS, HE MAY BE JUST A BIRD, BUT TO ME, HE'S SOMEONE I CAN TRUST MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE: MY BEST FRIEND!' Luffy listens quietly, then asks, 'I SEE. WHY WERE YOU KIDNAPPED?
