One Piece Chapter 2.3, page 0-1: That Boy "The Straw Hat Wearing Luffy"

A narration box reads: "AFTER RECKLESSLY GOING OUT TO SEA WITH A LITTLE BOAT, THIS YOUNG MAN PLANS ON 'MAKING SOME FRIENDS' AND FORMING HIS OWN FLEET OF PIRATES." Luffy happily says, "AH! THE WEATHER IS PRETTY NICE TODAY." However, another narration box warns: "WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT I'D GET INTO SUCH A DISASTER!?" Luffy continues, "ON A NICE DAY LIKE THIS." A label identifies him as "MONKEY D. LUFFY." At the bottom, the Japanese chapter title is displayed: "第2話 その男"麦わらのルフィ"" (Chapter 2: That Boy "Straw Hat Luffy").
