One Piece Chapter 44, page 15-17: The 3 Cooks

The Marine soldier collapses to the floor as the customers panic and scream, "AGHHHHH!" and "KYAAAA!". A thin, starving man with dark circles under his eyes, wearing a striped bandana and a jacket, slowly walks into the restaurant, holding a smoking gun. Luffy, Zeff, Sanji, and Patty watch him closely. Patty thinks, "ONE CUSTOMER, COMING THIS WAY." Zeff thinks, "HE BETTER NOT START ANY TROUBLE IN MY RESTAURANT." Luffy thinks, "A PIRATE?" Sanji silently watches, smoking his cigarette. The starving man's footsteps echo as he drags himself forward.

The starving pirate drags himself to an empty table and collapses heavily into a chair. The other customers watch him in tense silence. He weakly mutters, "ANYTHING WILL DO... JUST BRING ME SOME FOOD... THIS PLACE IS A RESTAURANT, RIGHT!?" He looks incredibly weak, sweating and panting heavily.

Patty approaches the starving pirate with his signature wide, fake grin, saying, "WELCOME, YOU SQUID-FACED BASTARD!" The pirate, startled, looks up. Patty asks, "PARDON ME, DUMBASS, BUT... DO YOU HAVE ANY MONEY?" The pirate glares at him and replies, "I'M ONLY GOING TO SAY THIS ONE MORE TIME SO LISTEN UP! I'M A CUSTOMER, AND AS SUCH, YOU'LL BRING ME FOOD THIS INSTANT!" Patty smiles and asks again, "SO YOU DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY?" In response, the pirate quickly draws his pistol and points it directly at Patty's forehead, asking coldly, "YOU ACCEPT LEAD?" The customers gasp in shock, whispering, "W-WHAT!? THAT COOK, IS AS GOOD AS DEAD!
