One Piece Chapter 44, page 4-6: The 3 Cooks

Luffy looks up with a curious and slightly hopeful expression, listening to Zeff's alternative proposal.

Zeff makes a terrifying demand, pointing a large bone-saw at Luffy: "YOU'LL HAVE TO LEAVE BEHIND, ONE OF YOUR LEGS!" Luffy sweatdrops and immediately rejects the offer, saying, "UMM... ISN'T IT OBVIOUS I'M NOT GOING TO CHOOSE THAT OPTION? ARE YOU A LITTLE DUMB IN THE HEAD OR SOMETHING, OLD MAN?" Zeff gets furious, shouting, "SAYING NO TO THIS, SAYING NO TO THAT... DON'T THINK YOU CAN MAKE IT IN THIS WORLD BY ONLY SAYING NO, YOU LITTLE BRAT!" Zeff then delivers another devastating dropkick to Luffy's head, yelling, "HEAD CHEF DROP KICK!" Luffy crashes to the floor with an "OOF!" and screams "AHHHH!" as Zeff grunts "NGH,".

The scene shifts to the restaurant's washroom, indicated by a sign that reads "W+C" and a plaque saying "AT THE RESTAURANT'S WASHROOM". A large, muscular cook with a goatee and heart tattoos on his arm is standing in front of the mirror, picking his nose and plucking his nose hairs. He loudly proclaims his philosophy: "CUSTOMERS, ARE GODS! SERVICE IS LOVE! LOVE IS THIS RESTAURANT!" A caption introduces him as "BARATIE'S COOK, PATTY". In the background, a customer walks out of a stall, sweatdropping at Patty's intense and bizarre behavior. Patty continues to chant, "MOTTO, MOTTO! SERVICE MOTTO!
