One Piece Chapter 21, page 7-8: VILLAGE

Luffy grabs the injured Zoro and runs away at full speed, shouting, "LET'S RUN AWAY!" The villagers chase after them, yelling, "AAH! THEY'RE RUNNING AWAY!! CHASE THEM!! WE WON'T LET YOU GET AWAY!! WE'LL PAY YOU BACK FOR WHAT YOU DID TO THE CHIEF!!" Nami runs alongside them, carrying her heavy bag of treasure, and complains, "WHY THE HELL DID YOU MAKE THE SITUATION MORE COMPLICATED?" Luffy, smiling as he runs, replies, "THIS IS A GOOD VILLAGE!!" Nami looks at him in utter confusion, stammering, "WHA..?

Luffy explains his reasoning to Nami: "FOR THEIR CHIEF, FOR JUST ONE PERSON... THEY'RE ALL GETTING THAT MAD!" Nami realizes what he means, but notes, "NO MATTER WHAT EXCUSE WE GIVE, THEY'LL STILL BE MAD AT US!!" The villagers continue their pursuit, shouting, "THEY'RE RUNNING AWAY THROUGH AN ALLEY!" Suddenly, Chouchou the dog stands firmly in the middle of the alleyway, blocking the path of the angry villagers and barking loudly, "WOOF!!!
