One Piece Chapter 1, page 30-32: Romance Dawn

Higuma pulls Luffy's cheek, stretching it out like rubber: "Eh, rubber boy? There sure are some weird creatures in the world..." Luffy struggles, yelling: "You jerk! You'd better take it back!!!" Higuma slams Luffy onto the ground and steps on his head: "Oof!" Higuma chuckles: "I've discovered a new life form... Maybe I'll sell you to a freak show... I bet they'll pay good money for you." Luffy growls: "Darn you!!! I'll make you so sorry for this!!

Higuma kicks Luffy repeatedly, calling him a "stubborn little......brat!!" Luffy refuses to back down, grabbing a wooden stick and swinging it, then biting Higuma's arm. Higuma shakes him off, annoyed: "I was just drinking and talking to my men. I didn't say anything to offend you." Luffy screams: "Yes you did!! You'd better apologize!!!

Higuma grinds his foot into Luffy's face: "Move your foot... You stinking mountain ape!!!" Suddenly, Mayor Woop Slap runs up and bows deeply to Higuma: "Please!! Let the boy go! I don't know what Luffy did... and I have no intention of fighting you people... But if it's money you want, you'll get it. Just don't hurt the boy!" Higuma looks down at him: "Nice try, old man... You know how the world works.
