One Piece Chapter 12, page 5-6: Chapter 12: DOG

Zoro lies unconscious on the street right in front of a pet food shop. Sitting nearby is the small white dog, staring blankly. Luffy, peering through the bars of his cage, asks, 'What's with you, dog?' Zoro briefly stirs, noting, 'Dog? Hey, a dog!' Luffy wonders, 'Is it real? It's not moving...' Zoro, exhausted, replies, 'Who cares... Our business is to get you out of there. It's his business if he moves or not.' Luffy reaches his hand through the bars and pokes the dog's forehead, saying, 'Maybe it's dead.' Instantly, the dog snaps and bites down hard on Luffy's face with a loud 'CHOMP!!', prompting Luffy to scream, 'Yow!!

Luffy frantically struggles with the dog, who refuses to let go of his face. Luffy yells, 'Dumb dog! Lemme go, lemme go!!' while Zoro, exasperated, shouts, 'Luffy, stop playing around!' However, Zoro immediately collapses back to the ground with a 'FLUMP...', groaning, 'Lost... too much blood!' The dog also lets go of Luffy and sits back down with a 'FWOP...'. Suddenly, Nami appears, looking down at them with a sigh. She remarks, 'Look at you two. Not to criticize, but......is the middle of the street really the best hiding place you could come up with?
