One Piece Chapter 39, page 6-8: FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS

Luffy cracks his knuckles (SFX: CRACK CRACK...) and declares with absolute conviction, "I SWEAR! I WILL NEVER... EVER BE A PIRATE LIKE YOU!" Kuro smiles mockingly and retorts, "Oh, you won't... Of course, you can't even be a pirate... BECAUSE... YOU WILL DIE HERE..." But Luffy refuses to let go, wrapping his limbs even tighter around Kuro's body, locking him in place. Luffy smiles fiercely and challenges him, "LET'S SEE YOU TRY! TRY AND USE YOUR 'SILENT STEP' NOW!!

Deep in the forest, Kaya desperately screams, "I'LL WRITE THE WILL!! JUST STOP HURTING THE BOYS!! PLEASE STOP IT!!" Usopp, battered and bruised, tries to stop her, yelling, "NO!! AFTER YOU WRITE THE WILL, HE'LL KILL YOU!!" Jango stands over them, casually stepping on the young boy Piiman, and sneers, "DON'T TRY TO NEGOTIATE WITH ME! IDIOT!" Piiman whimpers under Jango's boot, crying out, "I HAVE TO... CAPTAIN KURO SAID,

Jango kicks Piiman away with a heavy blow (SFX: DOKA!!), shouting, "...KILL ALL OF YOU!!!" Kaya cries out in horror, "PIIMAN-KUN!!" as the boy is sent flying into Ninjin and Tamanegi, leaving all three kids piled on the ground (SFX: DOSA...!!). Desperate, Kaya holds the pen to her own throat and threatens, "SINCE YOU WON'T LISTEN... I WILL KILL MYSELF! AND YOU WON'T GET THE WILL!!" Jango panics, sweating profusely: "WAH!! WAIT!! DON'T MAKE A STUPID DECISION!!" He realizes that if he doesn't get the signed will, he will be in massive trouble with Kuro. Quickly changing his tune, Jango says, "OKAY, I'LL LET THE KIDS GO! NOT LIKE THEY CAN ESCAPE ANYWAY!
