    - Pages: 17-19 - Characters: Zoro, Morgan, Narrator - Topics: pirate_king - Events: battle, political_meeting ### Summary In Shells Town, Luffy, Coby, and Zoro are drawn into the cruelty of Morgan’s rule and Helmeppo’s privilege. The Shells Town conflict uses Zoro’s imprisonment and Morgan’s rule to test what kind of people Luffy chooses to trust. The section moves Zoro closer to becoming Luffy’s first crewmate. ### Key dialogue Zoro: What are you!? Zoro: I'm the guy... Narrator: Who's gonna be King of the Pirates!!! Zoro: So which swords are yours? Zoro: I didn't know, so I brought all three... Zoro: practice SANTORVI, threesword style. Zoro: If you fight the navy with me here and now, in the eyes of the government, you'll be one of the bad guys! Zoro: You've got yourself a pirate!!! Zoro: This is what I came up with. Originally his name wasn't Morgan, it was "Chop." So his full title was "Naval Captain chop" or "Sailor Chop!" What a great name! But even I didn't have the nerve to use this name. [Editor's Note: Zoro: I can't show them all here, but I actually made two or three more versions of Captain Morgan before I settled on the one used in the manga. I redesigned him to look cooler because a certain editor told me he looked lame. I couldn't argue with that, so I changed his look.
