The Lake of Bandits

Luffy stares in shock as explosions rock the water around their small boat. "They're firing bazookas again!!" someone yells. A narration box states, "The lake at the centre of Punk Hazard." Luffy's team is visible in the boat while a map inset shows their position. "They're trying to sink our boat!" Luffy shouts. "What's wrong with these guys...I" another voice cries. A massive explosion erupts, sending one crew member flying with the cry "AAAA AAAARG HHH!!!" as the boat is blasted apart.

Two centaur-like bandits cheer as the boat flips. "Their boat flipped clean over!!!" one yells while another shouts "ALL AIMED!! WE GOT THE BASTARDS!!" The enormous crocodile-centaur boss laughs "WAHAHA HAHAHA HAHAHA!!" A bounty poster labels him "Boss CROCODILE CENTAUR FORMER PIRATE BOUNTY 80,060,000 BELI." He mocks the crew: "FLAMIN' IDIOTS... YOU SHOULD'VE JUST DIED FOR THE WATER SURFACE FROM THE START!" His subordinates add, "BUT ONCE WE KNEW THEY WERE FRUIT USERS, SINKING 'EM WAS THE ONLY OPTION!!" and "WELL, YOU KNOW... WE DIDN'T EXPECT THEM TO BE FRUIT USERS WHO COULD BOUNCE BACK ALL KINDS OF BULLETS...!!"

The freezing lake shocks the crew. "AAAAAGHHHH!!! IT'S FREEZING!!! A FEW MINUTES IN THIS WATER AND I'LL BE FROZEN ALIVE!!!" Luffy and others gasp "HAA..." "PANT..." while one cries "MBLU AAAAAA GHH!!!" and another "URGH HHHHHH HH...!!!" Usopp shivers, "URGH... MY MOULD IS GOIN' NUMB..." Franky yells, "IF YOU C-C-COULD'VE AT-T-TACKED THEM BACK, LUFFY!! WE HAD P-P-PLENTY OF T-T-TIME!!" Luffy replies, "I B B B B SOWWY... I WON' DRY DO MAKE FRIENDS WID DEM ANYMORE..." A barrage of projectiles continues. Luffy then shouts, "OI, USOPP, YOU HOLD THESE TWO FOR A MINUTE. I'M GOING TO SLICE THOSE WEIRDOS APART...!!!" Usopp answers, "M-MAK' IT QUICK... I CAN' HOLD ON MUCH..." while the centaurs prepare to fire again with "TAKE AIM!!"

Underwater, Zoro and the others are suddenly attacked. "OIII! WHAT'S WRONG, ZORO!!!" someone shouts as bubbles and chaos erupt. "URNG HHHHHH HH!!!" Zoro cries out while thrashing. A massive splash erupts as a shark lunges. "SHARKSI! IN A LAKEII!" a marine yells in panic. "AAAA GHHHH HH!!!" another screams. The shark snaps its jaws while a voice taunts, "WOHOHO HOHOHOH! IGNORANT FOOLS! STRICTLY SPEAKING, THIS IS PART OF THE OCEAN..." The group struggles violently beneath the surface as more sharks close in.

The narration explains the massive crater: "...AND OCEAN WATER FLOODED IN TO FILL IT THROUGH THE GIANT CRACKS IN THE ISLAND ON EITHER SIDE!!! THE BATTLE BETWEEN AKAINU AND AOKIJI CREATED THIS MASSIVE HOLE LIKE A BOMB CRATER..." A marine adds, "SO OF COURSE IT WOULD BE HOME TO OCEAN CREATURES!! WOHOHOH!!!" Below, the group fights desperately. "TAKE YOUR TIME AND AIM CAREFULLY!!! THEY'RE SITTING DUCKS NOW!! BLOW THEM TO PIECES!!!" one orders. "THOSE SHARKS ARE TOO SCARY!!!" another panics. "ZORO GOT EATEN BY THE SHARKS!!!" "AAAA RGHH... ZORO OOO!!" "OH, WE'RE DOOMED ON SO MANY LEVELS!!" "FIRE!!!" the lead marine bellows as they open fire.

Gunfire erupts wildly. Centaur-like figures and marines are blasted backward amid explosions and impact stars. "WHAT IS ITI! WHAT JUST HAPPENEDI!!" one yells. "AGG GHHH...!!" another grunts in pain. "HUHI" a marine reacts as more shots land. "AHHH HHHH HH!!" screams echo while figures tumble through the water and debris. The chaotic barrage continues across multiple panels.

A tall figure in a cowboy hat and spotted coat appears, staff in hand. "IT MAY BE A LITTLE LATE FOR A WARNING NOW, BUT JUST SO YOU KNOW... I FROZE ALL OF YOUR GUN BARRELS. IF YOU FIRE THEM, THEY MIGHT JUST EXPLODE!!" he warns as ice spreads. "BROO AAAAAA AAAK!!" a small skull icon reacts. "THOUGH THE ICY BLIZZARD BLOWS STRONG, THE WINDS OF THE UNDERWORLD BLOW ICIER STILL!!!" The marines panic: "WHEN DID THIS PASTY FREAK SCREW WITH OUR WEAPONSI!! YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT...!!" "I WILL PAYI!" one shouts. In a flashback panel, a skeleton in a crown declares, "SOME CALL ME... THE SOUL KING!!" "MY NAME IS NOT IMPORTANT. I AM BROOK!!" while another voice asks, "...!!! WHO THE DEVIL ARE YOU, SKELETON MASK!!!"

Luffy charges forward in a furious kick, shouting, "I WILL NOT STAND TO LOSE MY CREWMATES A SECOND TIME!!!" A massive skull-faced impact erupts as an enemy roars, "BUT IT IS YOU WHO MUST PAY!!!" Below, panicked foes yell, "THE SHARKS ARE OUT COLD!! WHERE DID THE OTHER GUYS GOI!" and "HE'S FAST!! THIS GUY CAN REALLY FIGHT!!" Brook suddenly appears from the side, explaining, "YOHOHO... MERE COINCIDENCE, I ASSURE YOU. I JUST HAPPENED TO BE RUNNING THIS WAY..." Luffy replies with relief, "I GOTTA SAY, THAT WAS PRETTY NICE TIMING, BROOK!!" Brook answers warmly, "BUT IT IS GOOD TO SEE YOU ARE ALL RIGHT!!" while enemies react with shock and heavy panting sounds fill the air.

An enemy leader growls, "BUT IF YOU THINK WE'RE SO WEAK WE'D GET DONE IN BY A FEW SHARKS, YOU'VE GOT ANOTHER THING COMING!!!" and taunts, "YOU'VE GOT SOME NERVE, YOU HALF-BEAST INGRATES!!!" Luffy's group shivers violently in the freezing wind and snow as one yells, "I DO! YOU GUYS I'WAZ CRAZY COMIN' TO DESE FREEZIN' MOUNTAINS PRESS'D LIK' DIS!!" Another cries, "I'M FREEZING UP!!!" and "FREEEE EEEEEEE ZING!!!" Nami notes, "BUT LOOK... IT SEEMS WE'RE IN LUCK..." while the enemies continue their assault amid heavy impact effects and swirling snow.

The centaurs discuss stealing coats while one says, "I LIKE THE LOOK OF THE ONE NEXT TO HIM..." and another replies, "HMI WHAT ARE YOU..." Recognition hits as a subordinate shouts, "BOSS!! THEY'RE GETTING AWFUL CLOSE!!" The leader freezes upon seeing Luffy's face and hat, exclaiming, "...I KNOW... BUT HOLD ON A SECOND, I THINK I RECOGNISE THESE PEOPLE FROM SOMEWHERE!!" Panic spreads: "THE 400 MILLION BOUNTY PIRATE, STRAW HAT LUFFY!!!!" and "I KNEW I RECOGNISED THEM... I REMEMBER THAT HAT...!!!!" The leader screams, "F... FOUR HUNDRED MILLIONI!!" while others yell about the Straw Hats being after their coats.

Outside the research lab, massive destruction erupts with buildings collapsing and debris flying. A voice yells, "YOU SEE, SMOKE-SAN!!! I TOLD YOU WE SHOULDN'T GET INVOLVED WITH THIS GUY!!!" while a figure screams in agony, "AAARG HHHHHHH HHHHH!!!" Tashigi watches with wide eyes as the chaos unfolds around the lab entrance, snow and smoke mixing in the air.

Law stands with a stern expression as chaos erupts around him. A Marine shouts in panic, "WHATI! REALLY!! THEN HAS HE GOT YOUR BODYI!" Another voice insists, "WILL YOU NOT LISTENI!! WE MUST RETURN AT ONCE!! THAT WAS THE VERY MAN WHO SLICED ME INTO PIECES!!" A third Marine yells, "LET'S FIND THAT REAR EXIT!!!" Law replies coolly, "...I MUSTN'T LET THEM GET AWAY, EITHER... OR THAT SAMURAI..." Nearby, a spotted figure calls out, "HAYHAYHAY!! HURRY UP, KIDS, THIS WAY!!" while someone doubts, "I DOUBT THAT IS THE CASE, BUT... THEN HE CAN WAIT!! WE'RE NOT GOING BACK TO FACE ALL THOSE MARINES!!" The scene explodes into motion as Law activates his power. Massive heart-shaped constructs and slashing effects tear through the area with heavy impact lines and debris. A voice cries, "RUN RUN" as the group flees. "THE HECK IS THISI IT'S LIKE SOME KIND OF FILMY BARRIER..." The large central splash shows Law mid-strike amid flying Marines, children, and swirling effects, with a shocked "!!I" from the crowd.

A massive close-up shows Law's face as he declares "SHAMBLES." The ability triggers with a dramatic sound effect. Nearby characters react in shock: "...I WHAT JUST HAPPENEDI THAT FELT...WEIRD..." A fish-like figure gapes, a stitched man grimaces, a blonde woman stares wide-eyed, and a dark-haired figure looks tense. In the lower panels the group processes the change. A boy exclaims, "HUUHI!!" while another yells, "Y... YOU GUYS...I!" A long-nosed man panics, "I'M FEELING EXTRA-SUPER THIS WEEK!!! I'LL FIND THAT REAR EXIT IN NO TIME!!" Sanji shouts, "OH, FOR THE LOVE OF...!! WILL YOU STOP MESSING AROUND AT A TIME LIKE THIS, SANJI-KUNI!!" Law commands, "HAYAHAAHHH!! EVERYBODY FOLLOW ME!!!" A woman adds, "AT ANY RATE, LET'S KEEP MOVING!! HURRY IT UP, BRATS!!" while a smoker coughs, "COUGH COUGH!! HMI WHERE DID MY CIGARETTE GO...I" Everyone stares in confusion with multiple "!!I" reactions.

Law stands tall in his long coat, sword drawn, as a massive battleship is sliced and sent flying toward the group. A Marine cries, "HE SENDS OUR BATTLESHIP FLYING, SLICES IT CLEAN IN HALF, SENDS IT FLYING RIGHT AT US...!!" Another shouts, "VICE-ADMIRAL, WE'VE GOTTA RETREAT!! THIS GUY'S ABILITY IS JUST TOO FREAKY!!!" Voices protest, "WE CAN'T FIGHT A GUY LIKE THIS!!!" and "SHICHIBUKAI ARE MEANT TO WORK FOR THE GOVERNMENT!! YOU CAN'T ATTACK US, IT'S A VIOLATION OF YOUR CONTRACT!! YOU'LL REPORT YOU TO MARINE HQ!!" A close-up shows a scarred face yelling, "UGH!! WITHOUT A SHIP, WE CAN'T EVEN MAKE IT BACK TO BASE!!" while another warns, "AND LOOK OVER THERE...!! HE'S STUCK HALF OF THE SHIP ONTO THAT ROCK FORMATION..." The final panels show Law's intense glare and a Marine's fearful expression as the sliced ship looms like "SOME KIND OF CRAZY SCULPTURE!!!" with a loud "SCREECH" sound effect.

Law activates another technique as swirling effects and "SWAMP SWAMP SWAMP" text fill the air. Marines flail in panic: "WHAT'S GOING ONI! STOP THAT!!" and "WHOOAAAAA AH!!" A large "SCAN" bubble appears near Law's focused face. In the next sequence a character gasps, "WHAA...I! IT'S GONE!!" while another wonders, "HUH...I" A bright flash and "BANG!" ring out as debris scatters. Law points forward with a "STREEN" effect. The final panel shows his serious close-up as he states, "...TO EITHER MARINE HQ OR THE WORLD GOVERNMENT. I CAN'T ALLOW YOU TO REPORT ANYTHING YOU'VE SEEN HERE..." Enraged Marines shout, "ARE THOSE ALL OF OUR DEN-DEN MUSHI'SI!! THAT BASTARD TOOK THEM ALL!!!" with furious expressions and motion lines.

Trafalgar Law stands with his back to the viewer as a massive impact erupts behind him. A voice questions, "ISN'T THAT RIGHT...I!!" Law's power activates in full: "USER OF THE OPE OPE NO MI... WITH THE ABILITY TO 'REMODEL' THE WORLD AROUND YOU...!!!" The opponent is hurled violently through the air amid swirling smoke and debris, limbs flailing. "SWISH!!" rings out as Law's technique slices through the space. A close-up shows Law's intense, focused glare. The clash continues with heavy motion lines and impact effects as the two figures grapple amid the chaos of the ruined facility.

Allies and enemies alike react in shock. "HUHI!" someone cries as a large speech bubble warns, "DON'T TRY TO HELP OUT, ANY OF YOU!!!" Law's massive slash tears through the room: "ビバーン" (BIBAN) echoes as rubble and bodies fly. A victim screams, "AAAAGHHHHHHH!!!" Law's voice cuts through: "YOU'RE ALL IN THE WAY!!! GET OUT OF HIS CIRCLE!!!" The opponent protests, "HE SLICED RIGHT THROUGH ME!!" and "HUHI! I'M STILL ALIVE!!" A stern close-up of Law states, "...YOU MIGHT AS WELL BE PATIENTS ON HIS OPERATING TABLE!! AS LONG AS YOU'RE WITHIN THE CIRCLE LAW CREATES..."

The ruined chamber is revealed as Law's "operating room." Narration explains, "...WITHIN THIS SPACE, HE CONTROLS EVERYTHING, AND CAN PERFORM ANY 'OPERATION'!! THIS IS HIS 'OPERATING ROOM'..." Voices shout, "FALL BACK, TASHIGI!! YOUR HAKI CAN'T STAND UP TO HIS ABILITY!!!" and "IF THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT, TRAFALGAR...!!!" Another declares, "THEY DON'T CALL HIM THE 'SURGEON OF DEATH' FOR NOTHING!!!" Law appears in dramatic motion, cloak flowing, swords drawn. A desperate cry rings out: "CAPTAIN-CHAN!!!" as the battle rages on amid flying debris and impact effects.
