Rush!!

A massive serpentine creature with sharp teeth vomits violently, “URP!”, as it exclaims “Something came out!”. The scene shifts to a flooded interior where the creature thrashes, sending water and debris flying. A voice shouts “IS IT THE KEY!I” amid the chaos. Below, Nami, Luffy, and Zoro react in shock: Nami cries “WHAT IS THAT!I”, Luffy stares wide-eyed, and Zoro says “THAT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE ANY KEY I'VE EVER SEEN”.

The flooded chamber shakes as someone yells “WHAT THE HELL!I”. A figure trapped in water gasps “W...water...! I'm saved, aren't I...!I” while another commands “Release!”. Mr. 3 appears, declaring “DORU DORU BALL...”. The Straw Hats recognize him: “Mr. 3!I”, “It's 3!”, “Hey, that's...!”. Mr. 3 explains “I used the last of my strength to make a Doru Doru Ball to hide safely inside, you see...!” and taunts “Heh heh... You've underestimated me, Crocodile!” before bursting free with “AHHHH! I'M BACK, BABY!”.

The creature lunges, roaring “AGHHHH! YOU PIRATES ARE...!” as Luffy shouts “AHHH! THAT KEY!” and demands “GIVE IT HERE!”. Mr. 3, still inside the beast, muses “HmI What's this odd key stuck to my Doru Doru Ball...I” and “Even for me, this was a most brilliant plan, if I must say so myself!”. Observing the flooded room with an iron cage, the group realizes “An iron cage... A quickly-flooding room... And a key... Ah, of course!”. Mr. 3 offers “Fine, here you... GOOO!” while declaring “So you're Mr. 3... Hand that key over already.” and “I've now grasped the current situation, I believe.”

Sanji yells in panic, "SANJI, WE DON'T HAVE ANY MORE TIME!" Nearby, Luffy and the others react with shock as someone notes, "Whoa, that guy's brain works fast!" and "That bastard..." In the flooded plaza, a cloaked figure wades through the water while voices call out, "But... I can't guarantee you'll have the time to search for it leisurely!" "But you look like one of their pals! Go find the key if you can!" and "Hahaha! I don't know who you are." Sanji glares furiously, muttering "Son of a..." as a voice shouts "SANJI, WAIT!" In a close panel, Mr. 3 explains his plan: "For Mr. 3 to create a duplicate key for us using his Doru Doru power..." Luffy stares ahead with wide eyes and declares, "I think it just might be possible."

The massive building doors creak open with a loud "CREAK..." followed by a sharp "CLICK!" Inside, Mr. 3 adjusts his glasses with a nervous "Aww, shucks," while Sanji smirks and replies, "Eheheh. Oh, pretty good, Candle-man." Nami, sweating and tense, warns, "But the problem is it's still blocked by all those bananadiles!" Vivi points ahead, saying, "I think the underwater passage they were planning to walk through is the way to Alubarna!" and urges, "Let's hurry!" Suddenly a massive impact erupts with "UGH!" and a huge "ドゴォォォ!!!" as debris flies.

Vivi clutches her head in distress while Usopp tries to reassure her, "Don't beat yourself up, Vivi! It's these guys that are weird for being stupidly strong!" and "Even running away from one of those gave me so much trouble..." A massive figure looms, roaring "HAHHH! ANY MORE LEFT THAT WANTS A PIECE OF ME!I" as someone mutters, "...I don't think we need to worry about that anymore." The underwater passage suddenly collapses with "ゴゴゴゴ" and "ゴゴッ" sounds. Voices scream "THE UNDERWATER PASSAGE COLLAPSED TOO!" "RUN! RUN THROUGH THE OTHER EXIT!" "AGHHH! THE WALL JUST CRUMBLED!" and "IT'S YOUR FAULT FOR GOING OVERBOARD AGAINST THE CROCS!" Usopp is struck, yelling "GYAA! DAMN IT! USOPP'S HIT HIS HEAD ON A ROCK!"

Sanji stands over a submerged Luffy, grumbling "You devil fruit users are a real pain in the ass..." while Luffy spits water with a "Pfft!" Sanji asks, "You alive, LuffyI" In the next scene Sanji shakes the dazed Luffy violently, shouting "For god's sake! Wake up and swim on your own, you doofus!" while calling out "Usopp! Please hang in there!" Usopp lies half-submerged nearby. In the final panel a large bearded man surfaces with a "GASP!" and a relieved "...Pffah!" as water splashes around them.

Coughing echoes as figures react to the chaos. "COUGH! COUGH!" "Shut up, I didn't want to!" "Aghh, it's Smoker!" "Zoro, why'd you save the enemy!I" "Whatever, we need to quickly get a move on!" "Not like I give a damn if he dies." A marine soldier snaps, "Fine, then go to hell already. Seriously." Sanji appears wreathed in smoke, declaring "Ahhhh! I'd follow your scent to even hell itself!" while Nami retorts "Like thisI" Nearby, Nami asks "HmI Yes, but whyI" as Sanji inquires "Nami, do you still have the perfume you bought at NanohanaI" and adds "Put some on right now!" Vivi questions "I don't know. We've lost a bit of time... Can we still make it, Vivi!I" In the lower panels Smoker glares at Zoro with sweat and intensity, demanding "What reason do you have for saving meI" while shouting "RORO-NOA!" as blades clash violently with impact lines and motion effects.

Luffy shouts desperately from inside a barrel-like structure, "HE CAN'T SWIM, YOU KNOW!" "WHAT!I HE'LL DIE IF WE LEAVE HIM HERE!" "WHAT!I HE'S OUR ENEMY! JUST LEAVE HIM BE!" "HEY ZORO! SAVE HIM TOO!" Luffy stammers "YEAH, I KNOW... WHAT I MEANT WAS THAT..." Zoro, bloodied and serious, replies with ellipses then states "It was just one of his whims. Don't think too much on it. I was only following my captain's orders... There's really no need for thanks." Smoker stands in the background as the scene shifts to the city street. Smoker declares "See what I mean! This is what happens when you rescue a marine!" while a voice warns "You don't have any complaints if I arrested you right now...I" and another adds "Then..."

Marines scramble as one orders "Gather the troops!" and another replies "Yes, sir!" while shouting "Let's go back up the captain!" "Yeah, and I also saw Smoker with him too!" "Straw-Hat Luffy is here!I" Luffy bursts forward yelling "WHERE'S CROCODILE!I" as a marine notes "Oh, they finally woke up." A voice commands "ALRIGHT! FULL SPEED AHEAD TO ALUBARNA!" Usopp panics in close-up, "IS THIS BRAT EVER SERIOUS...!I" while Luffy yells "OH CRAP! LUFFY, NO! LET'S JUST RUN AWAY INSTEAD!" Smoker stands ready in the street as a hooded figure cries "AGHH! IT'S SMOKIE! YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME TOO!I"

Luffy dashes through the streets shouting "THIS WAY! HURRY!" with motion lines and impact effects. Zoro stares intensely with ellipses. Luffy in a straw hat looks back saying "HmI" as Zoro commands "Go." In the final wide panel a silhouetted figure stands with a group of onlookers; a voice states "I'll look the other way... Just this once..." while a small exclamation mark floats above.

Luffy stares with wide eyes and a tense expression as sweat drips down his face. Smoker glares at him through the smoke of his cigars and declares, "Straw-Hat Luffy... The next time we meet, consider your life forfeit." The Straw Hats spot the marines and panic. Sanji laughs "Haha!" while Usopp, Nami, and Zoro react in shock as someone yells, "OVER THERE! IT'S THE STRAW-HAT PIRATES!" In the crowded town square Luffy pulls his hood up and says "Right." Nami urges, "Hey Luffy! What're you doingI We've gotta get going!" Usopp points, "This way! We have to head East!" Zoro adds, "Come on, let's go before the marines get here! Which way's AlubarnaI" The group sprints away amid frantic footsteps, だ だ だ!!

Luffy runs in panic, shouting "OH CRAP!" and "GET LOST ALREADY!" Smoker pursues, roaring "I WON'T LET YOU ESCAPE NEXT TIME!" while Tashigi cheers "Shishi shishi!" Luffy glances back and says, "I don't think I hate you anymore, Smokie!" On the docks a marine questions Smoker, "Captain! Why aren't you chasing after them!I" Smoker replies wearily, "You heard me... TIREDI!...I'm tired." The marines panic, "AFTER THEM! THEY'RE GETTING AWAY!" In close-up Smoker orders, "And tell them to get all Marine ships in the vicinity of Alabasta to gather here in this country. Also, contact HQ. Call back the marines chasing after them since it's pointless..."

A marine captain snaps, "SINCE WHEN THE HELL DID I CARE FOR THE OPINIONS OF HIGHER-UPSI" while another protests, "B-but I'm not sure if the higher-ups will agree to send so many ships just to catch a few pirates... You want to call for reinforcements!I" A subordinate salutes, "I'LL GO CONTACT THEM RIGHT AWAY!" Chopper sniffs the air, "I can smell Nami's perfume stronger!" and declares, "Hm... This way! Gotta hurry! Gotta hurry!" The Straw Hats keep running through the streets. Someone calls, "Don't worry, guys... Take a look in front of you!" Usopp suggests, "Isn't there like a stable in this townI Let's borrow some horses!" Nami remembers, "Oh right! Where's EyelashesI" Zoro asks, "Hey guys! We're not gonna run all the way to Alubarna now, are weI" as they notice marines swarming and hear frantic footsteps だ だ だ だ だ だ!!

Tony Tony Chopper waves frantically from atop a massive creature and shouts, "HEY GUYS!" and "Ahh! They're over there!" The giant beast barrels forward with Luffy and the others riding it, kicking up huge clouds of dust. A huge speech bubble declares "OVER HERE!" as the creature charges through the chaos with powerful impact sounds カ!! カカカカカカ and motion lines filling the panel.

Luffy stares in shock at a massive creature emerging from the sand. "It's an 'Itinerant Crab'!" someone shouts. "Chopper!" another calls. "A GIANT CRAB!I" Luffy yells, "DAYUM! THAT LOOKS TASTY!" The giant crab surfaces with a "KEE KEE!" as the group stands before it. "Get on!" someone urges. In the next panels the crew reacts with amazement. "Amazing! Itinerant crabs are always hiding below the sand so most people have never even seen one before!" a robed figure explains. "WOOOH!" Chopper cheers. "This crab's pretty fast, isn't itI" another notes. "They're all perverted though," someone mutters. "He's one of Eyelashes' friends!" Chopper adds. "Its face looks sort of sketchy, though..." Vivi observes. "WE CAN RIDE IT!I WOOHOO!" Luffy exclaims excitedly. "Looks like you brought back something amazing again!" a voice comments. "Eyelashes was born in this town so he's got lots of friends here!"

Chopper grips the reins atop the giant crab. "Alright then... LET'S GO!" he declares. The crab surges forward with a loud "CLUTCH!" and motion lines as everyone clings on. "AND WE'RE OFF!" Chopper shouts. "HuhI!!! AHH!" several voices cry out in surprise. Suddenly Luffy's eyes widen in alarm. "VIVI! IT'S HIM!" he yells. "CHOPPER, STOP THE CRAB! VIVI!" he shouts again while the crab races onward and a cloaked figure is seen leaping away in the distance.

A fierce clash erupts. "That idiot! LUFFYYYY!" a voice cries. "KYAA! LUFFY!" another shouts. The turbaned fighter attacks with a powerful strike, yelling "YOU BASTARD!" as impact effects explode. "Luffy!" someone calls desperately. In the chaos Luffy pushes forward, declaring "I'LL BE FINE BY MYSELF! GO ON AHEAD!" while the crab continues racing away. Below, two large eyes peer up from the sand with heavy sound effects "ドオオオオ..." as the scene shifts.
