Release

The color title page for Chapter 175 “Release” shows the ONE PIECE logo against a vivid red curtain-like background. The same massive leopard-like beast dominates the composition, now in full color with orange and black spots. A white rabbit-like figure sits on its head. A woman with short orange hair, wearing a green outfit and yellow heels, sits on the beast while holding a large rifle. Standing beside them with arms crossed is the muscular man in his feathered headdress and tribal garb, his belt now showing a green “PEACE” cloth. The rocky ground and drapery are colored in rich reds and earth tones.

A large cloaked man with a striped shirt and mask-like face recoils in shock, fist raised, as a voice exclaims "Tony's a decoy...!I" Another replies calmly, "Yeah, don't worry though. He'll be fine." In a bustling indoor hall, Sanji dashes forward while gripping Vivi's arm, shouting "But we still need to hurry. Fill me in on the situation, Vivi!" Vivi stammers "R-right..." Close-ups follow: Sanji glances back with a cigarette, asking "Who, meI" and "HmI" Vivi stares in alarm, demanding "Weren't you shot earlier!I" and adding "But Sanji..."

A massive impact rocks the Rain Dinners casino as a huge creature-like figure smashes into the upper floors with a thunderous "ジュワン!!!" and "ドガッ". Below, Sanji stands with a cigarette, sweat on his face, demanding "Tell me your location!" while a frantic voice replies "Where are you right now". A masked figure with goggles, identified in dialogue as outside the front entrance, pants "PANT... PANT... I'VE APPREHENDED A WEIRD MALE ATTACKER!" and groans "UGH...". Sanji smirks confidently, replying "No sir!" to an unseen order. Nearby voices note "The boss should come out soon...", "That was some fine acting.", and "Well done...". On the ground level, Sanji points toward the casino and remarks "Look, Chopper." as a cloaked figure responds "YeahI Seems like more of these bastards have come out of the woodwork...". A defeated attacker stammers "SO UHH... CAN I GO NOW...I" while another voice laughs "I... THANKS... HA... HAHA...".

Chaos erupts outside as a voice shouts "Huh!I Who the hell are youI" and another demands "...Wait, are you the one who did this to our pals!I". A robed man declares "My... My name is Mr. Prince...". In a sudden flurry of motion and impact lines "ズドン!!!" and "ガアアア!", the robed figure strikes with "MY NAME IS MR. PRINCE!" while declaring "I CAN DO THIS...!". Onlookers react with "What happened here!I" and "What in the worldI". A voice calls out "HEY YOU! TELL ME!" as another notes "SOME GUY... CALLED MR. PRINCE... DID ALL THIS...". The massive casino building looms in the background amid the fight.

A cloaked figure leaps through the air with explosive speed, trailing motion lines and debris as massive Japanese SFX "ずどどどどど" erupt around the jump. A close-up reveals a scarred man with stitched skin and a furious glare, declaring, "THAT MUST BE HIM!" In the town square below, the bridge suddenly collapses amid a huge impact SFX "ドゴゴゴゴゴ", sending civilians into panic. Someone shouts, "OH NO! THE BRIDGE COL- LAPSED!" At the bottom of the page, a man with a cigarette in his mouth reacts with intense focus, surrounded by swirling smoke and reaction SFX "わーキャゴォォォォォォ..." while a headband-wearing figure watches nearby with a tense expression.

Tony Tony Chopper, in his reindeer form wearing a large hat and cloak, stands in shock with wide eyes and sweat drops, SFX "ドキドキ..." and "ピクピク" showing his trembling. Nearby, a voice calls out with SFX "わいわい ガヤガヤ". The scarred man grits his teeth in close-up, muttering, "DAMN THAT MR. PRINCE..." and "WHERE THE HELL DID HE DISAP- PEAR TO..." In the town square labeled "RAINSHOT", the cloaked Chopper drags his feet with SFX "ずるずる" while the scarred man looms over him threateningly, declaring, "AND KILL YOU ON THE SPOT..." and "I SWEAR I'LL FIND YOU," as bystanders watch the confrontation unfold.

Luffy and his crewmate scream in terror as massive impact lines and onomatopoeia fill the panel: "WE'RE GONNA DIE! WE'RE GONNA DIE!" and "AGHHH!" The water has risen dramatically inside the enclosed hall. A huge armored crocodile-like creature thrashes in the flooded area beneath a domed ceiling, water already up to their knees. Someone yells, "THE WATER'S ALREADY UP TO OUR KNEES!" and "IT'S ALL OVER FOR US!" Large sound effects "ドゴォォォ!!" shake the scene. In the lower panels, Nami desperately tries to provoke the beast, shouting "OVER HERE, YOU BIG FAT BANANA!" while Luffy reacts with "G-GOOD IDEA!" Nami explains her plan: "I'm trying to anger it so it'll bite and break open this cage for us!" She then yells directly at the creature, "HEY, YOU DUMB CROCODILE! OVER HERE!" A shocked voice cries out, "W-WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU, NAMI!I"

Nami's eyes widen in alarm as she shouts "IT'S COMING!" In the next panels, Luffy and a crewmate argue about names while gesturing frantically: "What's the differenceI Both bananas and crocodiles are something you eat." and "For example, the word 'Monkey Dance' refers to a dance even though the word 'monkey' is an animal..." Luffy insists, "Luffy, I told you that's wrong! It's the banana that's growing from the crocodile, which is why its name has '-dile' at the end." The massive crocodile lunges forward with a fierce roar "KYAA!" and "AGHHH!", jaws wide open, shattering part of the cage. Sound effects "ガシャア" and "バキバキ!!" explode across the page. Someone yells, "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS CAGE MADE OUT OF!I" and "IT'S NO GOOD!" as the structure crumbles. A desperate cry rings out: "HURRY UP AND SAVE US, VIVI!"

Crocodile glares with a cigar clenched in his teeth. "About what Crocodile intends to achieve...I How much do you know," he growls. In the flooded chamber, a cloaked figure stands with a small creature while a man with a weapon sits nearby. Voices shout from the group: "HELP US THINK OF A WAY TO ESCAPE!" "AND WHY THE HELL ARE YOU SO DAMN CALM RIGHT NOW!I" "Hey, you..." Crocodile snaps back, "If left alone, this might develop into an incident large enough to engulf the whole world!" Nearby, Sanji and Usopp react in shock. "S-S-SO WHAT!I" "O-OVER SEVENTY MILLION!I" "If I remember correctly, her bounty's worth over 70 million...!" "That woman beside Crocodile... She's a wanted woman who's been on the run from the World Government for over 20 years..." Luffy, hooded and wide-eyed, stares in surprise. "!I" Crocodile continues, "From the moment those two joined hands, their plan turned into something far more than a mere country."

Luffy roars with fury, "TO KICK THAT BASTARD'S ASS!" "I DON'T NEED ANOTHER GODDAMN REASON," he yells. The group stares in disbelief. "Hmph, what the heck are you going on aboutI" "Whoa, this is getting too big for me..." "The whole world!I How is that possible!I" Water surges higher in the cage. "NOOO! WE'RE GONNA DIE! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!" "OH CRAP! THE WATER'S ALREADY UP TO MY THIGHS!" Crocodile sits calmly, replying "I see..." as panic spreads. Sanji grits his teeth, thinking, "DAMN IT! IF ONLY I WERE STRONGER, I COULD CUT THROUGH THIS CAGE... NO PROBLEM..." "One should not make any loud noises while eating"... Vivi cries out, "Vivi... It must be hard for you, what with so little time... Sorry for putting you through so much stress..." Luffy strains desperately, "NO! HANG IN THERE, LUFFY! VIVI SAID SHE'LL BE BACK WITH HELP SOON!" "I'm... STARTING TO FEEL FAINT..."

A colossal reptilian beast rears back in agony as a devastating kick slams into its underbelly. The creature's jaws gape wide, revealing rows of sharp teeth, while sweat flies from its face and its body twists violently. Massive Japanese sound effects "ゴゴゴゴ" dominate the upper half of the page. In a jagged burst on the right, bold text declares "ANTI-MANNER KICK COURSE!" Below, the tiny figure of the attacker is visible mid-strike against the monster's massive coils. The beast reacts with a huge "!!!!I" as debris and impact lines explode outward from the point of contact.

Nami stands on wooden steps, eyes wide in alarm. Nearby, a small horned creature coughs "cough!" amid falling debris. Sanji appears in close-up, cigarette in mouth, eyes swirling from the effort. A massive double-page impact follows as the beast is hurled backward in an enormous explosion of rubble and dust, with huge SFX "ドゴォアアアア…!!" and smaller impact sounds "ガラガラ" and "ガラ". The final row shows the shocked reactions of Nami, Usopp with mouth agape, Luffy sweating, Zoro glaring, and Sanji still smoking, all staring at the aftermath of the strike.

A figure exhales in relief with "WHEW..." as smoke drifts upward. Sanji stands tall in a sharp black suit, cigarette smoke curling around him, and asks, "Did I keep you waitingI" A voice replies, "'Sup." The dramatic entrance triggers chaos below. A short-haired girl gasps, "Oh thank god!" while a frantic figure yells, "STOP POSING, AND FIND THE DAMN KEY ALREADY!" Enormous shouting faces erupt with "PRINCE!" and wild exclamations as the group reacts to Sanji's arrival amid the grated interior and rising tension.

Luffy thrusts a massive fist forward with a huge grin, shouting "GOOD JOB! VIVI!" Nami, hearts floating around her, coos, "Yeah, yeah, I fell for you. Now get this cage open already!" and "Nami! Did you fall in love with me just nowI" while another voice notes, "There's no limit to his stupidity..." Nami flashes a thumbs-up, replying "Thanks!" Below, Sanji faces a swarm of massive sea creatures in the flooded chamber. The crew cheers, "C'MON SANJI! BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF 'EM!" as growls of "GRRRR!" fill the air. Sanji stands firm and says, "So you all want a piece of me, do you..."

Sanji launches a fierce kick at his foe, shouting, "I'll gladly kick some table manners, into anyone boorish enough to harm a lady...!" The opponent sneers back, "So be it. Come at me, you worthless bananas." In the next scene, Crocodile exhales smoke and orders, "Tell your friend to go after the 3rd one to enter the room just now..." A surprised voice replies, "HuhI" Sanji yells urgently, "NO, MORE LIKE HALF A SECOND! SANJI!! THERE'S NOT MUCH TIME LEFT! FINISH THEM OFF IN A SECOND!" Crocodile narrows his eyes and states, "That 3rd one had the exact same growl as the one that swallowed the key." He adds coldly, "Are your ears just for show or somethingI" Luffy glares from the side panel, asking, "What, can you tell them apartI" Crocodile's eyes widen as he realizes, "GOT IT!"

Crocodile's boots stride down the corridor as narration notes, "There must have been several more of their crew members still left! So they destroyed the bridge to buy a little time, did they..." Further along the hall he continues, "Even if they're lucky enough to find the right crocodile and have it spit the key back out... They'll never get that cage open... And they thought they could lure me away from the roomI In any case, all their resistance is for naught...!" Facing a dark-haired woman in a headpiece, Crocodile holds up a large key and remarks, "...You're quite the villain. Was it here all along. But struggle as much as you wish before your deaths... Because the real key," The woman smiles faintly. In the final panel Crocodile charges forward with a furious roar, "I'LL KILL THESE WORTHLESS RUNTS PERSONALLY!" while a voice answers, "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!"

A massive close-up reveals Crocodile's wide eye and sweat drop as he begins to shout "WHA-". In the next panel he stands frozen in shock, mouth agape, with "!!!" bursting beside him. Below, the ruined chamber shakes as a giant crocodile head lunges forward with "!!!!I". A heavy metal box creaks open with the sound "CREAK...". Debris litters the floor; a long figure lies sprawled on the broken planks while a cloaked observer watches from the foreground. With a sharp metallic "チャリン...", the view shifts to the same cloaked man being hurled backward. In the final panel Mr. Prince stands triumphant, leaving behind a fluttering note that reads: "See ya later, Dumbass-gator. -Mr. Prince."
