On a damaged wooden walkway, voices cry out "LUFFY! ZORO!" and "L... L... Lu...". Luffy, Zoro, and Nami stand together as a massive impact sound effect "ボロッ...!!" erupts. Below, Usopp shouts in panic "NAMI! IS NAMI ALRIGHT!I WHAT'S WITH THOSE WOUNDS!I WHAT HAPPENED!I" while clutching his head. A small figure on the ground groans "AHHHHH! D... D... D... D..." amid smoke and debris.

On the deck of the ship, a pirate flag flutters as someone casually replies, "SoI" In the next panel, Chopper in his hat panics wildly, shouting "THAT'S YOU, YOU IDIOT!" while a massive "DOCTA-QAAAAR!" sound effect erupts and Usopp gestures frantically beside him. Luffy sits relaxed with arms behind his head, saying "Some pirate. It's fine, it's over and done with." Usopp agrees, "Yeah." Nami, furious, points at the group and yells, "ACTUALLY, YOU SHOULD JUST FLATTEN THIS ENTIRE GODDAMN TOWN WHILE YOU'RE AT IT TOO! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!I IF YOU CALL YOURSELVES MEN, YOU SHOULD UNLEASH SOME WHOOP-ASS WHEN JERKS COME ASKIN' FOR IT!" Sanji stands nearby looking annoyed as Nami finishes, "It may be done with you guys, but my temper sure ain't over yet."

Chopper asks, "Oh that's right. Did you ask around about sky islandI" Luffy answers, "Dunno." Usopp questions, "Why's the only uninjured one so hopping madI" Nami warns from the side, "THE PAST IS THE PAST FOR A REASON! DON'T DRAG IT OUT TO THE PRESENT! OR I'LL MAKE YOU PHYSICALLY UNABLE TO BRING IT UP!" Sanji recalls, "I mentioned sky island once, And the whole bar exploded in laughter..." Nami snaps, "I've HAD IT with that subject!" Suddenly everyone reacts with shock as the word "SKY ISLAND!I" echoes. Chopper dramatically declares, "GUARD POINT!" while lying on the floor, and Nami shouts in panic, "WELL!I DID I!I DID I REALLY SAY SOMETHING THAT FUNNY!I"

Robin returns to the ship as Sanji greets her warmly, "Ahh! Welcome back, Robin! Will you be eating nowI Or will you be taking a bath!I" Someone notes, "Oh, you were out, RobinI" Robin replies calmly, "Yes, to acquire some clothes... As well as some information on sky island..." Usopp and Luffy examine a map, with Usopp saying, "It's just a normal map. But a map of where...I" Luffy exclaims excitedly, "OOH! A TREASURE MAP!" The crew discusses the island, with someone noting, "This island. THE MOMENT I FIND OUT IT DOESN'T EXIST, YOU'RE FISH-FOOD!" and "JUMPING POINT!" Nami stands firm as the argument continues around her.

Luffy holds up a detailed map labeled "JAYA Island," pointing out locations: "Mouth Bay," "Mock Town," and "South Grave." A speech bubble explains, "The town on the left is where we are. Mocktown. "Mike's ready too!" A long-haired crew member raises a device and triggers piercing signals. "SCREECH!" "SCREECH!" Large onomatopoeia "クオーーー" fills the air. Below, the sonar screen activates with concentric circles and pings. The central monkey-like figure marked "SU" stands with hands raised, surrounded by smaller monkey crew members holding shell-like devices, intently monitoring the underwater scan.

Underwater, sonar waves pulse through the sea. "WUB" "WUB" echoes repeatedly amid schools of fish. A close-up shows intense eyes and a mouth saying "BOUNCE..." On the surface, the crew reacts excitedly. "DIVER #4! ECHO CONFIRMED!" "Small sailing ship detected!" "LET'S HAVE SOME GRILLED FISH TONIGHT, BOYS!" one shouts. Another confirms, "Echo confirmation! School of fish detected at 9 o'clock! Judging from their swimming speed, they're likely to be saury!" "UTAN DIVER #27!" The divers plunge and splash as the survey continues.

Luffy points excitedly. "I CAN ALREADY SEE IT MYSELF, YOU SLOW-POKE!" "12 o'clock!" Usopp calls. "Umm..." A barrel flies as the crew spots a distant sailing ship. "From which exact direction!II" "What!I A sailing ship!I" someone yells in shock. The survey ship halts. "WHOA HOH!" a bear-like figure exclaims. "HALT THE SURVEY! RETURN TO SHIP, UTAN DIVERS!" On deck, Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, and Chopper discuss the sighting. "But I don't think it's 'him,' Usopp," Zoro says. "Not sure if that's a good or bad thing though..." Luffy adds, "Looks like we've already run into some weirdos."

Luffy, Usopp, and the others continue talking on deck. "Ohh... Well I don't really care if I ran across them again though." "We saw them returning to dock!" "Are definitely from this island!" "That's right! The salvage crew we ran into earlier." "Well in any case, we saw them, no doubt about it!" A massive ship named "MORINOHITO" approaches with a bear-like captain at the helm. "DON'T BE MUTTERIN' THERE TO YERSELVES NOW!" he bellows. "HEY, HEY, LIL' BROS!" "WHOA HO!" the Straw Hats react in surprise as the ship draws near.

A massive close-up fills the top of the page as the enormous pirate captain leans forward, eyes half-lidded. He rumbles, "Thought ya might be someone important for a sec there..." and follows with a dismissive "Hmph..." Below, the full figure of the seated giant is revealed: the Big Boss of the Shoujou Pirates, "Underwater Survey King Shoujou," Bounty: 36,000,000 Beli. He lounges on a wooden throne-like seat, one hand raised, the other resting on his knee, mouth wide in a toothy grin. "Gave me the jitters, ya did," he declares, sweat drops flying as his striped shirt and heavy chains shift with the motion.

Shoujou looms over the deck, pointing down at the visitors. "Homo sapiens, y'idiot," he snaps. "What species are youI" A small elephant-like creature floats nearby while Luffy and another figure stand on the right. "Pretty queer face you got there," someone remarks. In the middle panels Shoujou continues, "If we're talkin' sheer ability alone... I reckon I might be gettin' an offer aaaany day now for the seat. Which is why I've been waitin' on pins and needles... Did ya hearI That Crocodile was dropped out of the ShichibukaiI In any case, you folks seem like pirates. Aghh, pipe down, it's fine, it's fine. Don't you go tickin' off our big boss now, y'hearI" His crew erupts in protest: "WHOA HO! HEY, WATCH IT, PUNKS!" In the bottom panel Shoujou lounges on a pipe, hair flowing, as fish swim past. "I'd say it's the fact that I haven't cut my hair once in the 25 years I've been alive," he muses. "Like I was sayin'... If I had to sum up what makes me so great. WellI Surprised...I" A tiny ship sails in the background while Luffy listens.

Shoujou's face twists in rage, veins bulging as he roars at Luffy, "But your un-expected response gave me the jitters for a sec, it did. Aghh, quiet, quiet. HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT ABOUT OUR-" His crew echoes the fury. Luffy stares back blankly and asks, "Are you retardedI" A massive close-up of Shoujou's glaring eyes dominates the next panel: "IS THE BLOOD-SOAKED SEA... NOW YOU LISTEN TO ME AND YOU LISTEN GOOD... THE ONLY THING BEYOND THE TUNNEL OF MY RAGE," the narration box reads. In the bottom panels Shoujou explodes upward, mouth gaping, "IF YOU WANNA PASS, YOU GOTTA PAY THE TOLL! THIS IS MY TERRITORY YER ON! SHUT YOUR TRAP, YOU HALFWIT!" Luffy turns away with hands on his hips, replying, "Uh huh, whatever. I've got a place to go so can you guys move alreadyI"

Luffy stands on the deck looking surprised as voices shout around him: "HimI We kicked him overboard." "WHAT ABOUT MASIKA!I" "WHAT!I MASIKA!I" "Did he say that tooI" "'TerritoryI' He sounds like Masira." Below, Shoujou's crew panics: "We kicked him off but he's still alive." "SO YOU'RE MASIKA'S ENEMIES!" "Hang on... HuhI" Shoujou himself erupts in shock, arms raised, "K... KICKED... KICKED HIM OVERBOARD!I HOW DARE YOU DO THAT TO MY BROTHER!I" The bottom panel shows Shoujou swinging a massive sword in a furious spin, sound waves radiating outward. Large text declares "SOUND WAVE... HAVOC SONAR!" as impact lines and "!!!" fill the air.

Luffy reels from a devastating sonic blast, eyes wide in shock as he cries, "T-the ship is..." and "AGHHH!" A massive ape-like pirate with a round face and hat unleashes a thunderous roar, "うわあああああああ," while his crew warns, "Big Boss! You can't use that technique when on the deck...!" and "It's useless! He's too blind with rage to know who's attacking!" Sanji and Usopp watch from the deck; Sanji mutters, "Beats me. But it's still impressive. He can destroy a ship with just his voice!" Usopp wonders, "So... What's they doingI" Below, the sound waves slam into the Going Merry as Usopp panics, "Oh no! THE SOUND WAVES ARE HITTING OUR SHIP TOO!" and "H-hold on..." with "SCHREECH" effects shaking the vessel. Nami shouts from the railing, "Guys! Don't just keep staring! Now's our chance to sail past them!" while the ape pirate's subordinate notes, "Well anyone would be, after lettin' off that much steam..." and another crewmate adds, "Sweet, Nami's not mad anymore!"

Nami commands urgently from the battered deck, "SET FULL SAIL FOR AHEAD!" and "We've gotta get someplace where his voice won't reach us!" as the crew scrambles amid flying debris. The ship groans under the assault; voices cry, "Our ship's in bad enough shape as it is already!" "We're gonna sink if we stay here!" and "THE REPAIRS ARE ALL COMIN' APART!" The giant ape pirate continues his rampage, mouth wide open with a microphone-like device, unleashing another massive "あぁあああ" roar that sends shockwaves and impact stars flying. The Going Merry pulls away across the waves as the crew clings to the rigging and sails, the vessel listing heavily but escaping the sonic assault.

In the bustling bar of Mocktown, Western Jaya, patrons gossip about recent events. One man recounts, "And then the chick says to me, 'Tell me where this Cricket lives.'" Another replies, "Man. That was a shock!" Inside, rough-looking pirates laugh and argue; one growls, "Which instantly pinned down all of us in the bar! That ain't no laughin' matter!" while another exclaims, "There were all these... 'hands' sprouting from god-knows-where." A bearded pirate sneers, "Sounds like! You haven't half the idea!" as a striped-shirt man cackles, "Haha! Sounds like a feisty one!" The group erupts in laughter: "HAHAHA! TRUE THAT!" "Hahaha! Get you infected with stupidity!" and "Not only that, gettin' involved with that geezer'll only get you..." One man gulps nervously as another notes, "His place is by the Monkey Brothers' territory." A final voice asks, "But what'd she want with CricketI"

Bellamy leans forward in the bar with a dangerous grin, asking, "What's all this fuss about gold nowI" and "Hey, you over there." Patrons murmur, "Yeah, heard he found some recently." "GoldI" "I'll bet you that woman was after the gold." and "ReallyI WhereI" Bellamy's scarred face fills the panel as he laughs "HAHAHA!" and demands, "WHY DON'TCHA TELL ME MORE ABOUT HIM..." while declaring, "I'D LOVE TO CHAT WITH THIS CRICKET FELLA TOO NOW..." with a menacing close-up and the volume label "-VOL. 24 "A MAN'S DREAM" -END-" visible at the bottom.
