Shichibukai Bartholomew Kuma Appears

A massive explosion rocks the area with the sound effect "ダンビーーッ!!" as the Risky Brothers lie battered on the ground, covered in smoke and debris. One groans, "WHAT A TERRIBLE WOMAN... WE SHOULDN'T HAVE DONE ANYTHING... TOTALLY...!!!" while the other coughs, "COUGH...!! FOR US RISKY BROTHERS, THAT WAS THE WORST MISTAKE OF OUR LIVES!!" Inside the Treasure Room of Mast Mansion, the brothers continue: "BUT WE TOLD HER HOW TO FIND THE SHIP, TOO... GAKU" "YEAH... WE CAN'T DENY HER..." "BUT PERONA REALLY LOVES TREASURE." Nami appears furious in close-up, shouting "TRYING TO TAKE THE SUNNY AND GET OUT OF HERE, ARE THEY!I I'LL NEVER LET THEM DO THAT!!" and "HOW DARE THEY!! TAKING OUR TREASURE, TOO...!!!" as shadowy figures flee through an open doorway with "HAA" sounds.

On a narrow, well-kept stone bridge leading to a tower, voices question "WHY IS IT SO NARROW HERE!I IT'S ALSO STRANGELY WELL-KEPT." and "BUT WHAT'S WITH THIS BRIDGE...I" A sudden blast erupts with "ギャン!!" and "SEE A THING!! I DIDN'T" as smoke and debris fly. Nami reacts with shock "!I" and sweat drops while a massive figure looms. The giant Oars crashes through the architecture with thunderous sound effects "ゴゴゴゴゴ... ゴォ..." roaring "I'M GOING TO FLATTEN YOU ALL!!!" and "PREPARE YOUR-SELVES" as terrified people scatter below amid collapsing buildings and dust clouds.

Oars' massive face fills the panel with a furious glare and bared fangs, declaring "EVEN YOUR BONES WILL BE GONE!!!" Below, people flee in panic as Oars rampages: "THIS IS BAD. OH MY GOD!! HE'S RIDICULOUSLY ANGRY!!! HERE HE COMES!!" with the sound "UOOOOO OOOOO!!!" Oars struggles, growling "CRAP. ARE YOU STUCK!!" and "MY HORNS ARE TOTALLY STUCK...!!!" while smaller figures including a top-hatted one watch from the rubble with "MY HORNS" visible on his head and "ググ..." sounds.

A horned, stitched giant grimaces in pain as a voice asks, "YOU'RE STUCK...I" The massive creature lets out a strained "AAH," its face twisting with effort amid crackling SFX. Nearby, a long-haired woman watches coolly while a scarred swordsman smirks, "HEH HEH..." The giant suddenly lurches forward with heavy "ズ ズ" footsteps, sending smaller figures fleeing. In a massive splash panel the beast roars "AAAAAAAAAG GGHHHHH!!!" as it smashes through buildings, debris flying everywhere. A voice cries, "THERE'S NO WAY THAT'S HAPPENING!!!" while another notes, "IT SOUNDS LIKE OZ IS SCREAMING."

The colossal stitched giant SZ-900 rampages, smashing structures and sending rubble flying in every direction. A voice yells, "GIVE IT A REST!!!" while huge Japanese SFX "ドゴォォォン!!!!" echo across the destruction. In smaller panels the monster's grotesque face looms as voices react: "WOW, IT LOOKS SO GOOD!!!" "OVER THERE, A BUNCH OF MEAT!!!" and "THEY'RE LIKE DEMONS....!!" One figure shouts "RETREAT!!!" as the Straw Hats and allies scramble amid the chaos, swords drawn and expressions tense.

The giant monster SZ-900 delivers a crushing "KNEE CRUSH" attack, its massive leg slamming down with "ドスッ! ドスッ!" impacts and the onomatopoeia "カクー". A swordsman is sent flying by the force. Below, the creature laughs "GACKU" while a scarred man declares, "ALL RIGHT, IT'S OVER! 'KNEE KAKKUN.'" Another voice mutters, "TOTALLY HUMILIATING....!!" and questions whether the giant will follow rules or stay down after the knee strike.

The giant complains, "MY KNEES HURT... THERE'S NO MEAT..." while allies argue: "WE JUST NEED TO BEAT THIS GUY." "WHY DO WE HAVE TO WAITI" One shouts, "WE'RE NOT GONNA LOSE!! UHAHAHA!" and urges, "COME ON, GET THOSE SHADOWS, STRAWHAT!" A swordsman readies his blade, stating, "NOW THAT I FINALLY GOT THIS 'SUPERIOR BLADE' SHUUSUI, THIS IS THE PERFECT CHANCE TO TEST IT OUT." Another warns, "WAIT!! I'M SURE LUFFY WILL BEAT MORIA FOR US!!!" as the group prepares to fight.

A massive ship smashes through the massive web-like barrier above the island as chains snap and debris flies. A voice roars from the wreckage, "STOP RIGHT THERE!!!" Below, startled figures react with "!!I" In the foreground, grotesque zombie-like guards gape in shock. One yells, "IT'S THAT PIRATE WOMAN!!" A wide-eyed girl with a veil stares in surprise as another voice demands, "WHO ARE YOUI" The central figure, a young woman in a torn wedding dress with long light hair, stands defiantly. She shouts, "AND THE SUNNY, TOO!!!" and "WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING ON DOING WITH THAT TREASURE (THAT'S SUPPOSED TO BE MINE)!I!I"

Perona stands before the Thriller Bark castle gates marked "THRILLER B." She asks, "IS THE CEREMONY WITH ABSALOM ALREADY OVERI" A voice replies, "WHO WOULD GET MARRIED TO THAT PERVERT!I" Perona continues, "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, PIRATE WOMAN...I" The woman in the wedding dress answers, "SOI WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO...I I'M GOING TO TAKE MY SHIP AND LEAVE THIS ISLAND." Perona smirks and retorts, "SO YOU GOT AWAY... WHAT A FOOLISH MAN." She then summons her power, declaring, "IF YOU WANT TO STOP ME, THEN I'LL PLAY WITH YOU! FOR SOMEONE LIKE YOU, MY 'MINI HOLLOW SQUAD' SHOULD BE ENOUGH TO TEAR YOU UP!!! MY ONLY NATURAL ENEMY IS THAT LONG-NOSED NEGATIVE GUY...!!!" Small ghost-like hollows swarm around her as the woman sweats and asks, "HUH... WHO'S THATI"

A towering dark figure with a massive build and strange pants lands heavily amid rubble, prompting cries of "!!I" and "HUH..." Someone screams, "LADY PERONA, PLEASE RUN AWAY!!!" Perona stares and demands, "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU...!I!I" The figure looms silently. Panic spreads among the island's inhabitants: "ANYWAY, THIS IS REALLY BAD!!! HE'S NOT JUST ANYBODY!!! HE'S DANGEROUS!!! WE DON'T KNOW WHO HE IS, BUT HE'S AN ENEMY!!! HE JUST DESTROYED SOME OF OUR BROTHERS RIGHT IN FRONT OF US! THERE'S NOT EVEN A TRACE OF THEM LEFT!!!" A close-up shows a terrified face gasping, "OF COURSE HE'S NOT ORDINARY...!!! YOU..."

The massive figure is fully revealed holding a Bible, his silhouette dominating the ruined plaza. Text declares, "THE 'TYRANT,' BARTHOLOMEW KUMA!!!" and "HE'S ONE OF THE SHICHIBUKAI!!!" Background figures react in horror: "!I" and "ONCE... HE WAS THE CRUELEST PIRATE ON THE SEAS...!!!" A small voice mutters, "HO..." Close-ups show shocked faces: "NO WAY! A 'SHICHI-BUKAI!I!I'" and "HOW CAN THAT BE!I" Perona clutches her face, whispering, "THIS CAN'T BE...!!!" Other residents shout, "WH... Perona stands before Bartholomew Kuma on the deck of Thriller Bark. She blurts out, "LORD MORIA... NO, GECKO MORIA AND I HAVE NO RELATIONSHIP!! I WAS JUST... ABOUT TO FLEE THIS ISLAND..." Kuma looms silently as Perona asks, "ARE YOU ONE OF MORIA'S MENI" Kuma replies, "WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO GOI IF YOU WERE TO GO ON VACATION..." Perona panics, "WHAAA-!I SMALL TALK!II" In the next panel Perona answers dreamily, "WELL, A VACATION... SOMEWHERE DARK... DAMP... NEAR AN OLD CASTLE, SWIMMING IN MALICE. I'D LIKE TO PASS THE TIME SINGING CURSED SONGS." A shocked voice cries, "SHE ANSWERED!!! THAT'S LADY PERONA, WITHOUT A DOUBT." Perona snaps, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING, ASKING... ABOUT...I"

Perona lashes out, "DON'T SCREW AROUND WITH ME...!!! I WAS INTIMIDATED BY YOUR TITLE, BUT THAT'S NOT ENOUGH TO SCARE ME! NOT WITH MY POWERS! THERE'S NO ONE I CAN'T BRING TO THEIR KNEES...!!!!" She shouts, "YOUR SHADOW MUST BE EXTRAORDINARILY STRONG, KUMA!!! I'LL TAKE YOU DOWN AND GIVE YOU TO MORIA AS A PARTING GIFT!" Kuma is sent flying as Perona yells, "ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING!II" She unleashes her attack: "NEGATIVE GHOST" and "SPECIAL HOLLOW" while the zombies cheer, "STRONGEST COMBO!!!"

Kuma stands firm and says, "THEN I WON'T BE ABLE TO ASK YOU WHERE MORIA IS... IF YOU KEEP ON YAPPING, PATSU..." Perona suddenly vanishes. A girl with pigtails gasps, "WHERE DID SHE GO...I" The zombies stare in shock. Voices cry out, "LADY PERONA DISAPPEARED!!! HEY, WHAT HAPPENED!!! LADY PERONA!!!I" and "WHERE DID LADY PERONA GO!I"

The zombies scream in rage, "WE WON'T FORGIVE YOU!! THAT'S RIGHT!! WE'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU!! YOU BASTARD...!!! WHAT DID YOU DO WITH OUR PRINCESS!!I" They wail, "HIIIIEE EEE~!!!" but also admit, "BUT WE'RE ALSO TERRIFIED!!! WE RAN AWAY!!!" A large man in a hat growls at a blonde girl, "YOU'RE THE 'CAT THIEF'... ONE OF THE 'STRAWHAT'S' NAKAMA...!!!" The girl stares silently as the sign "THRILLER BAR" looms behind them.

High above the stone tower, a massive figure in a black coat descends. A voice asks, "IS IT TRUE THAT MONKEY D. LUFFY HAS A BROTHERI" Below, a blonde girl reacts with shock: "HUHI!!" She questions, "ACE, RIGHTI WHAT ABOUT ITI" Another replies, "Y... YES, HE DOES." The girl sweats, realizing, "WHAT...I HE GOT HERE IN AN INSTANT...!" A cloaked man states, "IS UP TO ME. WHAT I DO." The girl panics, "HE'S BAD NEWS!! IS HE AFTER LUFFY!I I HAVE TO LET THE OTHERS KNOW!!" She stares at the massive Thriller Bark entrance and asks, "ARE YOU REALLY A SHICHIBUKAII" The large figure looms as the scene shifts to the castle gates.

Luffy roars with fury, "MORIA!!! I GOT YOU," as a massive impact erupts. Shadows writhe and a voice taunts, "YOU'RE NOT GETTING AWAY, YOU BASTARD!!" Luffy gasps, "A SHADOWI" Multiple shadows swarm as he yells, "NOW, LET'S GO!! GIVE BACK EVERYONE'S SHADOWS!!!" The attack lands with a huge "ズシャーッ!!" Luffy shouts, "HE TRICKED ME!!!" A narration box reads, "Dawn, the shadow recovery time limit, approaches." Luffy stares in confusion at the distant tower: "WHERE AM I!!I" The castle and surrounding ruins stretch below as debris flies.
