The title page for Chapter 206, "Lit Fuse". The cover story, "Hachi's Ocean Floor Stroll Vol. 21 'Their Whereabouts'", shows the octopus fish-man Hachi underwater, looking surprised as he talks to a starfish. A thought bubble above the starfish shows the fish-man Macro and another fish-man. Hachi is wearing his striped shirt.

In the chaotic Alabasta square, the crowd roars. A man wearing a hat with 'BW' on it yells, 'Baroque Works!? Never heard of 'em! You even got any proof that they exist!?' Another man nearby claims, 'We're just ordinary Alabastan citizens!' Suddenly, Marine Sergeant Major Tashigi dashes forward, drawing her sword and swiftly cutting down the man with the BW hat. As he falls, the back of his jacket is revealed to read 'BAROQUE I <3 M...VAL'. A shocked onlooker yells, 'Would you marines really hurt civilians unwillingly caught up in this rebe-!!'

Tashigi, panting and sweating, turns and shouts to her subordinates, 'Judge with your own eyes to see who's the enemy! You can't prevent anything by always waiting for proof!' A Marine asks, 'What're you hesitating for!? Sgt. Major Tashigi!' She looks up at the towering clock in the distance and notes, 'There's hardly any time before 4:30 now...' Her men respond, 'Yes, sir!' The scene shifts to the inside of the clock tower, where a massive cannon sits. A voice says, 'Rrrrribbit ribbit ribbit! Hey listen, Mr. 7! I think this is a big mission!' Another voice replies, 'Yes, you're right, Ms. Faaather's Daaayyy...'

Inside the clock tower, the two Baroque Works snipers are revealed. Mr. 7, a man with a large yellow gun and a distinctive face, laughs, 'Ohohoho! Yes, such an assessment would be nice. Very, veeerrryyy nice, Ms. Faaather's Daaayyy...' Miss Father's Day, wearing a frog-themed outfit, replies, 'Ribbit! Ribbit! Ribbit! Maybe we'll get promoted big-time after this!' They stand beside an enormous cannon emblazoned with the Baroque Works skull and crossbones logo. Mr. 7 continues, 'In any case, ohohoho! I would assess, that this enormous cannon, is set to shoot right into the middle of the crowd below! Ohohohoho!'

Mr. 7 strikes a match, the flame illuminating his face as he announces, 'Preparing to light the fuuuussseeeee! Ohohohoho!' Miss Father's Day eagerly adds, 'It's almost time, Mr. 7! Ribbit!' The clock face outside ticks closer to the deadline. Down in the plaza, the fierce battle between the royal army and the rebels rages on. Deep underground in the crumbling tomb, Luffy lies face down in the rubble, heavily injured. Crocodile stands over him, smoking his cigar, and says, 'Just what..'

Crocodile finishes his thought, looking down at the fallen pirate amidst the falling debris: 'Is it, that I don't understand...!?' Suddenly, Luffy pushes himself up from the rubble, his body battered and bleeding. Crocodile's eyes widen in shock. Without a word, Luffy lunges forward with incredible speed, throwing a powerful punch directly at Crocodile.

Luffy's fist flies toward Crocodile, who scoffs, 'Hmph-'. Crocodile swiftly evades the strike, moving back as Luffy's punch hits the air. Unrelenting, Luffy immediately follows up, launching himself at Crocodile with a rapid barrage of punches, his arms blurring with motion as he presses the attack against the Warlord.

Luffy pulls his arms back, his face contorted in fierce determination, and roars, 'GOMU GOMU...' He unleashes a devastating flurry of high-speed punches, shouting, 'GATLING GUN!!!' The rapid-fire strikes pummel Crocodile, forcing the Warlord backward under the sheer volume and force of the blows as debris flies around them in the collapsing tomb.

Crocodile skids to a halt, recovering from the assault. He pants slightly and glares at Luffy, saying, 'Do you still not get it...? You're going to die... From the poison already flowing in your body.' Luffy stands opposite him, breathing heavily, his body trembling. Crocodile continues, 'It's a miracle you're still able to even stand after 3 fights with me and taking a ridiculous amount of damage... Whether you win or lose, you'll still be buried under this temple with all the other rubble.' Refusing to give up, Luffy roars, 'RAGHH!' and charges at Crocodile once more. Crocodile watches him approach, questioning, 'Why do you still-'

Up in the clock tower, Mr. 7 announces, '15 seconds leeeeeffftttt! Ohohohoho!' Miss Father's Day adds, 'Target: Center of the Palace Square! Ribbit ribbit!' She urges, 'Light the fuse!' At the base of the towering structure, the Straw Hats and Vivi are gathered. Usopp panics, yelling, 'We don't have any time, y'know! We're all gonna die if we fail, y'know!' He looks at Nami, who is rapidly spinning her Clima-Tact, and asks, 'Nami! Just what're you trying to do!? WHAT'RE YOU EVEN PLANNING TO DO!? HOW THE HELL'S STANDING IN THIS POSE GONNA HELP!?' Nami snaps back, 'I'm trying to calculate things right now! Yes, I know already! Now just shut up and stand there!'

In the tower, Mr. 7 laughs, 'Ohohoho! An iiiinteresting assessment, indeed! Yes, let's! Ohohoho!' Miss Father's Day suggests, 'Ribbit ribbit! Hey listen, Mr. 7! Since it's the finale, I wanna do a count-down!' Below, Nami declares, 'HERE I GO! YOU'LL UNDERSTAND ONCE I DO IT!' She unleashes an attack, shouting, 'CYCLONE TEMPO!' Usopp stammers, 'H-hey, the cyclone tempo's just a little boomerang trick, meant for parties and-' Suddenly, the spinning weapon strikes Usopp directly. As the countdown reaches 'THIIIRRTEEEEN!', Nami announces, 'The weather is... 'Typhoon!' THE TARGET'S THE CLOCK TOWER!' A massive gust of wind begins to form around Usopp.

The Cyclone Tempo generates a powerful, swirling updraft that launches Vivi and Chopper high into the air alongside the clock tower. Nami commands, 'JUMP! CHOPPER! ONCE YOU REACH SANJI'S LEVEL,' Higher up on a balcony, Sanji looks down in surprise, exclaiming, 'WHAT!? THEY'RE COMING UP!?' On the ground, Usopp, recovering from the hit, realizes the strategy: 'Don't tell me... Her plan is to keep on flying up directly like this!?'

Sanji, grasping the situation, says to himself, 'Yeah, I think I got the gist of the plan... Fine! I guess I've got no other choice...!' From below, Nami yells, 'Sanji! You know what to do, right!? We don't have any time left!' Chopper, now in his muscular Heavy Point form, is carrying Vivi as they ascend. Vivi urges, 'We don't have time to think! Take me up, Tony!' Chopper replies, 'Alright! Hang tight, Vivi!' Sanji leaps from the balcony into the air, extending his leg and shouting, 'GET ON MY RIGHT LEG!' Chopper lands squarely on Sanji's extended leg. Further up the tower, Zoro observes the maneuver and notes, 'Oh, so that's the plan...'

With a powerful kick, Sanji launches Chopper and Vivi even higher up the side of the clock tower. As they soar upwards, Sanji yells, 'ALL YOURS NOW, ZORO!' Zoro, waiting on a higher ledge, prepares himself, thinking, 'I've gotta throw them all the way up to the top. Looks like,' Down below, Nami cheers, 'Great work, Sanji!' as Sanji begins to fall back toward the ground. The countdown reaches '11...'.

The countdown hits '10' as Chopper and Vivi approach Zoro's position. Chopper yells, 'ZORO!' Zoro draws his swords and swings them upward to propel the pair further. Chopper panics, screaming, 'AGHH! YOUR SWORDS!' Zoro reassures him, 'Leave it to me! Don't be scared, stupid. I'll send you up with the back of my blades!' The countdown drops to '9'. As he launches them towards the top, Zoro warns, 'Watch out, Vivi. There're some weirdos up there!' Vivi, looking up towards the belfry, replies with determination, 'Yes, I recognize them!'

At the top of the tower, Mr. 7 and Miss Father's Day peer over the edge. Mr. 7 notices the approaching figures and says, 'Hmm? Ohohoho!? Ms. Wednesday!' Miss Father's Day adds, 'Ribbit ribbit! I know you're the one who betrayed our organization!' Mid-air, Zoro realizes the danger and thinks, 'OH CRAP! WE'RE SITTING DUCKS HERE IN THE AIR! IF THEY SHOOT US NOW THEN...' Chopper, still carrying Vivi, panics, 'WHA? They noticed her! Oh no...' Vivi stares up intensely at the snipers.

The scene shifts back to the underground tomb. Crocodile lectures Luffy, 'IF YOU JUST THREW ASIDE ONE OR TWO FRIENDS... YOU COULD HAVE AVOIDED ALL THIS! YOU AND YOUR CREW ARE ALL INTERMINABLY MORONIC! THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON IN THIS COUNTRY FOR YOU TO STILL FIGHT! AM I WRONG!? OR ARE YOU DOING THIS ALL FOR HER SAKE!? YOU WOULD REALLY DIE JUST LIKE THAT FOR SOMEONE ELSE!?' Luffy, standing firm despite his injuries, replies, 'She'd be killed by you! If I left her be, she'd die for sure... She always puts herself most at risk in order to save others... Even though she tells others not to throw away their lives, Vivi... You don't understand anything... That's why I said...' Crocodile interrupts, 'THAT'S EXACTLY WHY I'M TELLING YOU TO ABANDON SUCH A TROUBLESOME FRIEN-'

Luffy cuts Crocodile off, screaming at the top of his lungs, 'THAT I DON'T WANT HER TO DIE! IT'S BECAUSE SHE'S A FRIEND,' Crocodile listens, his expression hardening. Luffy continues, 'My crew won't stop fighting either! That's why as long as she won't give up on her country... Then that's that! If I die,' Crocodile finishes the thought, '...Even if it means your deaths?'

Back at the clock tower, Mr. 7 and Miss Father's Day take aim at the airborne targets. Mr. 7 readies his weapon, 'ADJUST! YELLOW GUN! Ohohoho! Such an easy prey!' Miss Father's Day does the same, 'ADJUST! RIBBIT RIBBIT GUN! What an unexpected windfall!' Mid-air, Vivi makes a split-second decision, telling Chopper, 'Chopper! I'm gonna launch you off so it's up to you!' Chopper is shocked, 'What!? Me!?' Vivi leaps off Chopper's back, propelling him forward. Chopper realizes the threat, 'Oh no! That's the sniper-duo! How dare you point your guns at Vivi!' Down below, Nami screams in panic, 'ONLY 7 SECONDS LEFT! DOOOO SOMETHING!'
