SABAGASHIRA NO.1

Don Krieg stands imposingly on the deck of his ruined galleon, looking toward the Baratie. His men gather behind him, surveying the wreckage. Krieg remarks, "WELL, THAT WAS A BIT OF A NUISANCE, BUT IT'S NOTHING...! WE WERE ORIGINALLY PLANNING ON ABANDONING THIS SHIP ANYWAYS, SO WHO CARES IF IT'S BEEN DESTROYED." He then turns his attention to the restaurant ship, adding, "LOOK AT THAT GOOFY-LOOKING SHIP..."

Krieg continues addressing his crew, outlining his new plan. He explains that capturing the Baratie will give them a strategic advantage. "IF WE HAVE THAT BOAT, WE NEEDN'T FEAR EVEN GRAND LINE ANYMORE," he says. "HAVING THAT SHIP WILL BE MORE EFFECTIVE, THAN HANGING A WHITE FLAG OR PRETENDING TO BE THE MARINES. IT'LL BE THE PERFECT DISGUISE FOR US." He elaborates, "IT'LL LOWER OUR ENEMIES' GUARDS AND WE'LL BE ABLE TO SNEAK CLOSER TO ENEMY SHIPS THAN EVER BEFORE." His men listen as he concludes, "I SEE... NOBODY WOULD EVER SUSPECT THAT THERE'D BE PIRATES LYING IN WAIT, ON SUCH A STUPID LOOKING SHIP LIKE THAT. THIS ERA IS TEEMING WITH PIRATES ON EVERY OCEAN. REBUILDING OUR PIRATE FLEET WILL BE A PIECE OF CAKE!"

Krieg's men are terrified at the prospect of returning to the perilous waters they just escaped. One pirate stammers, "B-BUT DON...! WHEN WE GO BACK TO THE GRAND LINE, WHAT IF WE WERE TO COME ACROSS ANOTHER MONSTER LIKE THAT 'HAWK-EYES'..." The mere mention of Mihawk causes the crew to scream in fear, "GYAAAA!" Krieg looks back at them sternly, "YOU'RE STILL AFRAID OF THAT BASTARD!?" A pirate replies, "N-NO... DO YOU REALLY THINK A NORMAL PERSON CAN JUST CUT DOWN A GIGANTIC GALLEON!?" Another asks, "WHA!? WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT, DON!?" Krieg answers, "ISN'T IT OBVIOUS THAT HE'S GOT SOME STRANGE POWER FROM A DEVIL FRUIT!?"

Krieg explains his theory to his crew. A shadowy image of Dracule Mihawk's piercing eyes and a small image of Luffy stretching appear as Krieg speaks. "DEVIL FRUIT USERS, WHO WE'VE ONLY HEARD OF IN LEGENDS AND HEARSAYS... THE GRAND LINE IS FULL OF 'EM!" he declares. "THERE'S NO DOUBT THAT THE HAWK-EYED MAN USED SOME STRANGE POWER WHEN CUTTING OUR SHIP! EVEN THAT STRAWHAT-WEARING PUNK THERE WITH HIS WEIRD ABILITY IS JUST ANOTHER RUN OF THE MILL PIRATE IN GRAND LINE!" Krieg then points out a crucial detail: "BUT 'RED-LEGG ZEFF,' SPENT AN ENTIRE YEAR SAILING IN GRAND LINE, MEANING HE MUST'VE FOUND SOME METHOD TO DEAL WITH THOSE MONSTERS!"

Krieg rallies his men, revealing his ultimate goal. "AND THAT METHOD'S WRITTEN DOWN IN HIS TRAVEL LOG FOR SURE!" he shouts. "THERE MIGHT EVEN BE INFORMATION ON ONE PIECE IN HIS LOG AS WELL!" His crew's morale instantly shifts from fear to excitement. "AS EXPECTED FROM OUR DON KRIEG!" one yells. "SO THAT'S HOW IT WAS!" says another. Krieg declares, "ALL WE GOTTA DO IS GET OUR HANDS ON THAT LOG, AND ALL THE TREASURES OF THIS WORLD ARE OURS FOR THE TAKING!" He raises his weapon and commands, "ALRIGHT, YOU BASTARDS! LET'S TAKE OVER THAT RESTAURANT!" The pirates cheer enthusiastically, "YEAH!!!"

Inside the Baratie, Luffy laughs heartily, "WOAH! THEY'RE ALL FIRED UP TO FIGHT TOO!" He turns to Zeff, "HEY OLD MAN! IT'S A PROMISE, RIGHT!?" Zeff replies, "YOU DON'T HAVE TO ASK ME TWICE. MY RESTAURANT WOULD BECOME A WRECK IF I LET YOU WORK HERE FOR A FULL YEAR ANYWAYS." Sanji, smoking a cigarette, asks, "WHERE'S PATTY AND CARNE?" A cook answers, "THEY'RE BUSY WITH THE BATTLE PREPARATIONS!" Sanji smirks, "THOSE GUYS SURE ARE RELIABLE IN TIMES LIKE THESE!" Zeff then gives an order: "ONLY IN TIMES LIKE THESE... YOU BETTER GO TO THE CONTROL ROOM AND OPEN UP THE 'FINS.'" A cook is shocked, "WHA... YOU SURE!? THAT'LL JUST GIVE OUR ENEMIES A FOOTHOLD...!" Zeff dismisses the concern, "DOESN'T MATTER. THE GEEZER WON'T SHUT UP IF WE FIGHT INSIDE THE RESTAURANT." Sanji glares at Zeff, "YOU SAY SOMETHING, BRAT?" Sanji retorts, "YEAH, I SAID YOU WON'T SHUT UP." The cook runs off, "ON IT RIGHT AWAY!"

Luffy takes action. He grabs the wooden railing of the Baratie and stretches his arms far back, preparing to launch himself. On the wreckage, the Krieg Pirates charge forward, yelling, "HAND THAT SHIP TO US, YOU PATHETIC COOKS!" and "LET'S GET THINGS STARTED!" Luffy calls out his attack, "GOMU GOMU... ROCKET!!" He slingshots himself through the air directly toward the pirates. The pirates panic as they see him flying at them: "AGHH! HE'S FLYIN' RIGHT TOWARDS US!" and "FOLLOWED BY...!" The sound effect "SOAR" accompanies Luffy's flight.

Luffy crashes feet-first into the group of Krieg Pirates with a devastating impact. He yells "SCYTHE!" as he strikes them, sending several pirates flying into the air. The pirates cry out in pain, "UGH!!!", "AHH!", and "GAH!" After the initial strike, Luffy grabs onto the broken mast of Krieg's ruined galleon, securing his landing amidst the chaos.

Sanji watches Luffy from the Baratie, impressed. "THAT ERRAND BOY AIN'T BAD!" he remarks. "SO THE GRAND LINE IS TEEMING WITH GUYS LIKE HIM...?" Luffy sits atop the broken mast, laughing at the pirates below. "I'LL SEND UNGRATEFUL CROOKS LIKE YOU FLYING! HAHAHA!" Krieg looks up at him and mocks, "PLANNING ON FIGHTING HERE WHERE YOU CAN'T EVEN STAND PROPERLY? I'VE HEARD THAT DEVIL FRUIT USERS ARE WEAK AGAINST THE SEA..." Luffy retorts confidently, "IS THAT RIGHT, HAMMER BOY? I CAN'T SWIM BUT IN RETURN, I CAN STRETCH!" He prepares to launch himself again, yelling, "TAKE OFF!"

Suddenly, Patty and Carne's voices ring out in a singing chant. The giant fish head at the front of the Baratie detaches and falls into the water with a splash. Patty and Carne yell from inside, "BARATIE'S NAVAL WEAPON! 'SABAGASHIRA NO.1!' IF YOU DON'T WANNA DIE, THEN GET THE HELL OUT OF OUR WAY!" Luffy watches in amazement, his jaw dropping. "HUH...? DAMN THAT'S COOL!" he exclaims. The Krieg Pirates are bewildered. "THE... THE RESTAURANT'S HEAD IS MOVING!" one shouts. "W-WHA..." another stammers.

Inside the Sabagashira No.1, Patty and Carne are furiously pedaling a tandem bicycle-like mechanism to propel the craft through the water. The pirates watch the bizarre machine approach, yelling, "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!?" Inside, Patty yells, "HEY! PEDAL PROPERLY!" Carne shoots back, "NO YOU PEDAL FASTER! I'M ALREADY PEDALLIN'!" Patty argues, "YER THE ONE WHO HAS TO PEDAL FASTER IF WE WANNA TURN LEFT!" Carne retorts, "YEAH, I KNOW, DUMBASS! JUST SHUT THE HELL UP, YOU BALD-HEADED FREAK!" They both scream "ARGHHH!" as they pedal harder. "FULL SPEED AHEAD! FASTER! FASTER! FASTER!"

The Sabagashira No.1 approaches the wreckage of Krieg's ship. The mouth of the fish head opens, revealing three cannons inside. The pirates panic, yelling, "OH SHI-". From inside the craft, Patty and Carne yell, "FIRE!" and "ROGER!" The cannons fire simultaneously, causing a massive explosion that blasts apart more of the ruined galleon.

On the Baratie, Zeff watches the explosion and laughs, "HAHA! NICE ONE, PATTY! CARNE! GO GET'EM!" A cook yells, "OPENING THE 'FINS'!!!" The side decks of the Baratie begin to lower mechanically into the water. Krieg notices the movement, "HM? WHAT IS IT THIS TIME...?" Some pirates in the water panic, "ACK! I'M SINKING!" Sanji stands ready on the deck, smoking his cigarette, and says, "IF YOU PIRATES WANT A FIGHT, THEN BRING IT."

The Baratie's "fins" fully deploy, splashing into the water and creating a large, flat wooden platform surrounding the restaurant. The pirates in the water scream, "AGHHHHH!" and "WHAT'S THAT!?" They realize, "A PLATFORM APPEARED, FROM BELOW THE SEA!" Luffy, still on the mast, thinks it's amazing, yelling, "COOOL!" Krieg analyzes the situation, "I SEE... THEY DON'T WANT US FIGHTING INSIDE AND DESTROYING THE RESTAURANT. ALL THE BETTER FOR US WHEN WE TAKE THAT SHIP. NOW I WANT THAT SHIP EVEN MORE!"

A wide shot shows the Baratie with its fins fully extended, forming a battle arena on the water. The Baratie cooks stand on the platform, armed with giant forks, knives, and other kitchen utensils, ready to defend their restaurant. The pirates look on, underestimating them. "JUST WHAT THE HELL CAN A COUPLE OF MEASLY COOKS DO, AGAINST US PIRATES!?" one pirate mocks. The cooks yell back fiercely, "DON'T YOU DARE LOOK DOWN, ON US COOKS OF THE SEA!"

Patty and Carne steer the Sabagashira No.1 directly toward Don Krieg. Patty laughs maniacally, "GYAHAHAHA! C'MON! SHOW'EM THE POWER OF FIGHTIN' COOKS!" Carne yells, "PATTY! NOW'S NOT THE TIME TO BE DISTRACTED! WE'VE GOTTA AIM FOR HIM!" They charge at Krieg, yelling, "PREPARE YOURSELF, KRIEG! ALLOW US TO DEMONSTRATE THE POWER OF BARATIE'S PRIDE! BECOME SOUP FOR THE FISHIES!"

The Sabagashira No.1 crashes into Don Krieg, but to Patty and Carne's shock, Krieg stops the massive metal craft with a single hand. "WHA!?" they exclaim. "W-WE'RE NOT MOVING!" Krieg glares at them and declares, "I'M DON KRIEG, THE MAN WHO'LL RULE ALL THE WORLD'S OCEANS!" The cooks are terrified, "HUH!? WHA!? WHAT STRENGTH!!!" Krieg dismisses them, "I AIN'T GOT TIME TO PLAY AROUND WITH THE LIKES OF YOU!" From above, Luffy yells down at Krieg, "HEY, THAT'LL BE ME!" Text at the bottom reads "6 VOL. 6 'OATH' (END)".

Krieg effortlessly lifts the entire Sabagashira No.1 out of the water. "ALL TALK AND NO SUBSTANCE... USELESS BASTARDS," he mutters. Patty and Carne scream from inside, "AGHHHH!" Krieg hurls the heavy craft directly toward the Baratie. The cooks on the deck panic, "CRAP! WE'RE GONNA CRASH INTO THE RESTAURANT!" Suddenly, Sanji leaps high into the air and intercepts the flying vessel with a powerful kick, deflecting it away from the restaurant. The cooks are amazed, "SANJI! HE KICKED IT!?" Sanji lands and smirks, "HEH."
